(Dan Tri) - "My friends and I stood together on the shore of Hoan Kiem Lake to watch the fireworks for 15 minutes, then went to Ba Da Pagoda, picked lucky branches, bought salt, rice... After that, we went to eat a hot bowl of snail noodle soup," Giang Son shared.
Sharing about Tet, musician Giang Son said that Tet is not only the beginning of a new year but also a place to preserve love, hope and great plans.
Keep the habit of watching fireworks on New Year's Eve
The female musician revealed that, when she was a student, she had a special habit on New Year's Eve, which was to cycle with her friends from home to Hoan Kiem Lake, 10km away from home, to watch fireworks.
"At that time, we were in college and had just started to have motorbikes, so we were very excited. Every New Year's Eve, we had to go to the lake, that was the New Year in Hanoi.
My friends and I stood together on the lake shore to watch the fireworks for 15 minutes, then went to Ba Da Pagoda, picked up lucky branches, bought salt, rice... After that, we went to eat a hot bowl of snail noodles. Sometimes we didn't get home until 2-3am," Giang Son excitedly recounted.

Until now, she still keeps the habit of watching fireworks on New Year's Eve. Although she doesn't go to the lake, she still watches near where she lives, such as My Dinh Stadium. For Giang Son, that is a way for her to feel a familiar Hanoi every time Tet comes and spring comes.
The female musician said that, apart from the times when she is performing abroad and cannot return home, she usually celebrates the New Year with her family. Giang Son will put her work aside to go shopping for Tet and go to the flower market with her mother. She really enjoys the bustling atmosphere of shopping for Tet at the traditional market on the 27th of December.
"Everyone is in a hurry, buying and selling very quickly. That's when I feel the Tet atmosphere," Giang Son expressed.
According to Giang Son, everyone wants to make their Tet feast as full and thoughtful as possible. She said: "Grandmothers, mothers, and aunts shop a lot. Like my mother, on the 30th of Tet, there must always be 4-5 chickens in the refrigerator to offer on New Year's Eve, New Year's Eve, and the 1st of the year...
That makes the Tet atmosphere become more bustling and exciting, making me feel that spring has truly come, and I look forward to the new year with many good things coming to my family even more."
Childhood Tet with memories of deprivation
When talking about Tet in her childhood, the female musician could not hide her emotions. Her childhood was associated with difficult days, when her family and the whole society were in need. Therefore, Giang Son always looked forward to Tet, not only because of the bustling atmosphere, but also because of simple joys such as eating chicken and wearing new clothes.
She shared that the most memorable memory was the tiny banh chung that her mother wrapped just for her. "I remember clearly the feeling of showing off that banh chung to my friends everywhere. That adorable little banh chung, I still remember it forever," Giang Son emotionally recalled.
Recalling the 30th of Tet, the female musician said that due to her busy work, it was only when her mother finished preparing the New Year's Eve offerings that her father left his desk, got dressed, lit incense, and prayed before the ancestral altar.
"I still eat the dishes every day, but during Tet, the feeling is very different. Perhaps, those dishes have the happy taste of gathering and reunion," said Giang Son.

Tet 2025: Pressure but full of joy
Giang Son added that, for her, Tet 2025 is more special than previous years. The live concert Giac Mo Sol, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the female musician's musical career, will be held right after Tet, on February 15, the 18th day of the first lunar month.
This is the first large-scale live concert in Giang Son's career, with an expected audience of 2,200 at the outdoor stage of Park City Urban Area, Hanoi.
Therefore, even during Tet holidays, Giang Son is always busy discussing with producer Thien Binh, music director Luu Ha An, stage director Xuan Truong and the singers performing in the program such as: Thanh Lam, Tung Duong, Ha Tran, Khanh Linh, Ha Linh, Hoang Dung, Thuy Chi.
In addition, the female musician also has to complete the songs she has just composed. Giang Son revealed that every day, she has to work until after 1am before going to bed.
Therefore, this year's Tet is not only a busy Tet but also a lot of pressure for Giang Son. "I was so worried that I didn't dare go anywhere outside of Hanoi, only spending time and focusing all my energy on the live concert," the female musician confided.
