This year's women's cycling race brought together many athletes with equal professional level, took place in a lively, fair, and equally fierce competition.
After 7 stages with a total route of 619.3 km, the prestigious yellow jersey for the best female racer belonged to Nguyen Thi Thi from Loc Troi Group.
Nguyen Thi Thi was also the first racer in the 20-lap (20km) race around Long Xuyen City (An Giang). The female racer accelerated strongly in the final laps to overtake her opponents and reach the finish line first. The female racer said that this was an unexpected result because after overtaking to separate from the second group and join the first group, she was very tired, but thanks to the support of her teammates to adjust her speed, taking that as an opportunity, Nguyen Thi Thi quickly rose to the finish line, bringing home the highest prize.
The racers won the tournament.
The green jersey for the sprint king belonged to Tran Thi Thuy Trang from Loc Troi Group. Young racer Lam Thi Thuy Duong from Ho Chi Minh City – Vinama also won the white jersey for the best young racer. The Ho Chi Minh City – Vinama team rose to the top of the team rankings, second place went to Loc Troi Group and third place went to Biwase Binh Duong.
In addition, in this special season, to encourage and motivate the female athletes who competed enthusiastically, regardless of the sun or rain, willing to sacrifice their beauty to pursue their passion, the Organizing Committee decided to award the Miss pink shirt to Tran Thi Phuong Dung from the HCMC - Vinama team, voted by newspapers/television stations.
At the closing ceremony, Mr. Huynh Van Thon - Chairman of Loc Troi Group was delighted that Loc Troi Group had accompanied the Organizing Committee to create a meaningful competition especially for female athletes who are disadvantaged when there are too few tournaments to express their passion. With positive meanings and spreading in the community, he hopes that Loc Troi Group will accompany women's cycling for a long time.
