The Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Traditional Medicine has just organized a training course for 9 French students on Vietnamese traditional medicine (TM), aiming to introduce the quintessence of TM to international friends.

Students are taught knowledge about acupuncture for pain relief for cancer patients, acupressure massage, qigong exercises, spinal manipulation, cupping, thread implantation, herbal medicine, health exercises, acupuncture for cardiovascular and neurological patients, etc.

Dr. Truong Thi Ngoc Lan, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Traditional Medicine, said that the institute is a prestigious and quality practice facility for students of schools and training facilities of Traditional Medicine in the city and provinces in the Southern and Central Highlands regions.

In addition, the training program of the institute is aimed at foreign students - those who wish to learn in depth about Traditional Medicine to apply it to health care for themselves and their families, and to treat and cure diseases using Traditional Medicine combined with modern medicine. In recent years, short-term training courses of the Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Traditional Medicine for foreign students have been held annually, with many students coming from countries such as France, Switzerland, the United States, Italy, etc.
