Taking heritage to new heights
Since 2000, businessman Nguyen Van Truong and Xuan Truong Enterprise have invested thousands of billions of VND to build and renovate spiritual and cultural works, tourism development projects in Ninh Binh, Ha Nam, Truong Sa... Mr. Truong always believes: "Temples are like sacred sovereignty markers of the Fatherland".
Bai Dinh Pagoda (Ninh Binh) was invested in and built by Xuan Truong Enterprise, including large, magnificent works bearing the mark of Vietnamese architecture, using precious materials such as Ninh Binh green stone, Tu Thiet wood, dark brown Bat Trang glazed tiles... To create a pure Vietnamese feature in Bai Dinh Pagoda's architecture, the enterprise mobilized the participation of 500 elite artisans from famous craft villages across the country.
With the largest gilded bronze Buddha statue in Asia, the longest Arhat corridor in Asia, the largest bronze Maitreya Buddha statue in Southeast Asia, the largest bronze bell, the largest temple area, the largest jade well and the largest number of Bodhi trees in Vietnam, Bai Dinh is a temple that holds many records.
Along with that, Mr. Truong invested in, renovated and upgraded the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex. In 2014, the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex was recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage - the first and only mixed heritage in Southeast Asia.
A famous project also invested and built by businessman Nguyen Van Truong is the Tam Chuc National Tourist Area (in Ba Sao town, Kim Bang district, Ha Nam province). Looking at the scenery of Tam Chuc like a treasure from heaven, which can succeed Trang An to become a world heritage, few people know that, nearly 20 years ago, this place was just a vast flooded lake and rice fields, overlapping limestone mountains interspersed with forests, surrounded by swamps.
Tam Chuc tourist area has a total area of over 5,100 hectares, of which Tam Chuc pagoda area is 144 hectares wide with many majestic and splendid constructions, the largest pagoda area in the world. Tam Chuc pagoda has a special landscape, leaning against That Tinh mountain, facing Tam Chuc lake with 6 stone islands, creating a majestic, poetic and peaceful picture.
From above, Tam Chuc is as beautiful as a giant ink painting with perfect lines arranged by the hand of nature. Tam Chuc has amazed domestic and foreign tourists, not only by its charming beauty, likened to a "Ha Long Bay on land", but also by the size and scale of the entire tourist area.
Important contribution to local socio-economic
Trang An scenic spot has become an internationally famous brand, the driving force for the Ninh Binh tourism "ship" to reach out to the open sea. The number of tourists to Ninh Binh is increasing, bringing in increasingly large revenues. Tourism development contributes significantly to the GRDP structure of Ninh Binh, creating a shift in the economic structure towards increasing the proportion of services, promoting the development of many industries and fields. Tourism has become a spearhead economic sector, the number 1 brand of the locality, enriching the livelihoods of thousands of residents.
In 2023, the number of tourists to Ninh Binh will reach nearly 6.6 million, 1.7 times higher than in 2022. Of which, the number of overnight visitors will reach nearly 1.4 million, with nearly 1.9 million days of stay. Tourism revenue will reach over VND 6,516.2 billion, more than double that of 2022, reaching 156.52% of the annual plan.
Ninh Binh has been voted by many prestigious international travel websites. In 2020, Trips to Discover (USA) listed Ninh Binh as one of the 14 most attractive destinations in Asia. In 2022, Travel + Leisure (USA) ranked Ninh Binh as one of the 12 most beautiful filming locations in Asia. In 2023, Ninh Binh won the Traveler Review Awards, being the only representative of Vietnam in the top 10 friendliest destinations in the world.
Recently, Forbes Magazine voted Ninh Binh as one of the 23 most worth-visiting destinations in the world. Ninh Binh is also the place that has successfully organized many United Nations Vesak ceremonies, the 50th Anniversary of the 1972 Convention, the 2016 ASEAN Buddhist Summit Forum, the International Conference on Promoting the Value of UNESCO Titles for Sustainable Development in Vietnam, etc.

It is known that in 2023, the total number of tourists to Ha Nam will reach 4.38 million, an increase of 38.87% compared to 2022; tourism revenue is estimated at 3,382 billion VND, an increase of 57.52% compared to 2022.
At the World Travel Awards ceremony at the end of 2023 in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Ha Nam was honored for the first time as the "World's Leading Local Cultural Destination". Tam Chuc tourist area is often mentioned as a new destination, with a magical attraction for tourists, helping this land become a bright spot on the tourism map of Vietnam and the world.
A simple businessman
It seems that Mr. Truong was born to do unique things. He is a businessman who holds a record for the number of times and duration of trips to Truong Sa, with many times going on ships to cross the sea, surveying, designing, participating in making construction plans, and transporting materials from the mainland to the island.
Renovating and building pagodas on the mainland is a great effort, but building on the island is many times more difficult. Despite the difficulties, over the years, he and his colleagues and the people have restored and embellished many pagodas in Truong Sa - the sacred territory of the Fatherland. Truong Sa Lon, Sinh Ton, Nam Yet, Son Ca, Phan Vinh, Song Tu Tay... day and night, the bells ring with prayers for peace and happiness.

Not yet stopped aspiring
Always eager to give wings to the heritage of his homeland and country, in early 2022, businessman Nguyen Van Truong reported to the People's Committee of Hung Yen province to request investment policy for the Project to Build and Restore Pho Hien with the name "Old Pho Hien" on an area of 1,200 hectares, with a total investment of 25,000 billion VND, with the goal of building images reminiscent of a bustling international trading port of Pho Hien from the mid-15th century - "First the Capital, second Pho Hien". The project aims to contribute to creating momentum for socio-economic development for Hung Yen province, while creating cultural heritages for the future.
In addition, Mr. Truong has also planned to study the Thanh Long Lake Project Planning (Hai Duong) with an area of about 1,502 hectares, to build and renovate the Buddha tower, bell tower... with the focal point being the 3 towers in Tam Ton Lake, connected by an underground road system under the lake. On the floating island, Thanh Long Pagoda will be renovated and built into a large pagoda. This will be an international-scale comprehensive tourist area with typical historical, cultural, spiritual, ecological tourism types..., an impressive connection point highlighting the special national relic site of Con Son - Kiep Bac.
