On the afternoon of April 10, in Hanoi, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province and Song Thuong Garden Company Limited held a press conference about two art programs to promote the culture and art of the Central Highlands in Hanoi.

Speaking at the press conference, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province Tran Hong Tien said that with the desire to bring the unique cultural space of the Central Highlands right in the capital, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province coordinated with Song Thuong Garden Company Limited to organize these two unique art performances. This is the sentiment and enthusiasm of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in particular and Dak Lak province in general for the people of the capital, domestic and international tourists, thereby spreading the culture and art of the Central Highlands, contributing to attracting tourists to Dak Lak.
The opera “Khat vong Dam San” was approved by the Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee with the desire to create a great work in Vietnamese music, praising the aspirations and romantic but also heroic beauty of the Ede people in the Central Highlands. The work contributes to restoring and preserving the Ede culture through music and visual stage, expected to become a unique and special cultural tourism product.

The opera was written by musician Nguyen Cuong, written and directed by Hong Hoa, and choreographed by People's Artist Y San Alio, inspired by "Dam San Epic" - one of the typical works of the Ede people in the Central Highlands in ancient times.
The work consists of 5 chapters: "Dam San and H'Nhi", "Mtao Msei's Punishment", "Buon sang co lieu", "Noi doi sang", "Mat sua loc van la". "Dam San's Desire" takes viewers back to the glorious past in the early days of the tribal alliance period, meeting heroic chiefs, most notably the hero Dam San who fought with his village, subdued enemies, and conquered nature for the stability and prosperous development of the tribe.

Playwright Hong Hoa has created many new details for the opera, praising the beauty of human love in harmony with nature, the romantic but also heroic nature of the Ede people in the Central Highlands. Musician Nguyen Cuong said that the music in the play “Khát Vọng Dam Sàn” has the sound of the Central Highlands, especially the music of the Ede people, combined with international performance methods, to create appeal and appeal to the audience.
The opera “Dam San Aspiration” will take place at 8:00 p.m. on April 13, at the Hanoi Drama Theater (42 Trang Tien, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi).
The folk music and art program “The Call of the Highlands” will take place at 7:30 p.m. on April 12 at the Ba Kieu Temple flower garden, in the walking space around Hoan Kiem Lake and its vicinity (Hanoi). In the program, artists will bring performances of gongs, traditional musical instruments typical of the Central Highlands, and famous songs about the Central Highlands by musicians Nguyen Cuong, Tran Tien, etc.
In particular, the program introduces to a wide audience in the capital the Central Highlands gong cultural space, which has been recognized by UNESCO as an oral masterpiece and a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
