The Ministry of Transport (MOT) has just sent a document to agencies and units under the transport sector on strengthening solutions to better serve people's travel needs and ensure traffic order and safety during the National Day holiday on September 2 (lasting 4 days from September 1 to September 4).
The Ministry of Transport requires airlines to develop plans to increase flights during peak days, arrange night flights to meet passenger travel needs based on infrastructure and ensure flight safety, and operate flight schedules to minimize flight delays and cancellations. Airlines must strictly implement the listing, announcement, and publicization of ticket prices and fares according to regulations.
The Ministry of Transport also directed aviation security forces and airports to strengthen security control and flight safety.
The Ministry of Transport requires that ticket prices not be increased during the September 2 holiday.
Vietnam Airports Corporation and Van Don International Airport, Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation, airlines, aviation service providers and airport authorities: Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong have plans to increase human resources, equipment, and facilities for security and safety screening, and baggage return for passengers.
The units arrange and provide full instructions at the airports so that passengers know and collect their luggage in the correct designated areas, avoiding congestion and causing frustration for passengers, especially at Tan Son Nhat International Airport and Noi Bai International Airport.
At the same time, arrange the most convenient parking locations for bus routes operating at the airport, closely coordinate with the Department of Transport and functional forces to organize traffic flow, minimize traffic congestion on roads around the airport area.
The Ministry of Transport also requested the Vietnam Road Administration to be responsible for guiding and urging the Departments of Transport to direct transport businesses and bus stations to publicly, transparently and in accordance with regulations on transport fares, prices and service fees at bus stations.
Have a suitable transportation organization plan, carry the correct load and number of people according to regulations, ensuring capacity and quality of transportation services.
Units must strictly check the safety conditions of vehicles and drivers before departure, remind passengers to wear seat belts...
Areas with many illegal buses, illegal stations, fixed-route buses, and overloaded vehicles such as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City need to strengthen inspection and handle violations according to regulations.
The Ministry of Transport also requires road management areas to inspect and review additional traffic sign systems, especially at intersections, road sections with steep slopes, narrow curves, and limited visibility;
Units increase forces to organize and ensure traffic, reasonable traffic flow, guide vehicles to circulate safely and smoothly, ensure security and order at toll stations, especially on main routes in and out of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, bus stations, wharves, train stations, BOT toll stations, etc.
In particular, it is necessary to develop plans to ensure security and order, and traffic flow at toll stations when traffic volume increases suddenly; promptly handle and clear vehicles, and avoid congestion before entering toll stations.
