On the morning of December 14, in Nam Can district, Ca Mau province, the Youth Union of Brigade 175, Naval Region 5 Command coordinated with Doan Hang Vinh commune to organize "Volunteer Saturday" with the theme "Youth join hands to protect the environment, build green, clean and beautiful landscapes".
Cadres and youth union members of the units have organized to beautify the area of the Memorial Monument of Heroes and Martyrs of Hang Vinh Commune; cleared bushes and trees that obscured the view; dredged and cleared sewers and drainage ditches; removed and erased illegal advertisements, classified ads, and flyers; repaired, reinforced, and cared for flower beds, ornamental plants, and cleaned traffic routes.

With a proactive, active, enthusiastic and passionate spirit, cadres and youth union members of the units cleaned more than 2km of roads; collected and classified nearly 2 tons of waste and brought it to the treatment site.

Lieutenant Colonel Phan Van Quang, Deputy Chief of Politics, Secretary of the Youth Union of Brigade 175, said: In addition to organizing a general environmental cleaning campaign, the unit's cadres and youth union members and the Hang Vinh Commune Youth Union also organized propaganda and mobilized local people to practice a civilized urban lifestyle; classify and dispose of garbage in the right place; and limit the use of plastic bags and disposable plastic products to protect the environment and public health.

On the same morning, the Youth Union of Brigade 175 participated in a volleyball tournament to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day organized by Nam Can District Military Command.
