On June 1, Plum Week, safe agricultural products of Son La province took place in Hanoi.

For 5 days (from June 1-5), at Big C Thang Long Trade Center, Hanoi Capital, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union and the People's Committee of Son La province will coordinate to organize the 2023 Son La Province Plum and Safe Agricultural Products Week.

Son La province currently has over 12,353 hectares of plums, with an output of about 89,837 tons in 2023, with harvest season from April to July. The "Son La Plum" brand has been granted a Certificate of Trademark Registration since 2021 with a number of high-quality products such as: Pu Nhi plum, Song Ma district; Ruby plum, Moc Chau district and Phieng Khoai plum, Yen Chau district...

This year's Son La plums have less large fruits due to the prolonged hot weather, but in return, the plums are seedless, crunchy and sweet.

Accordingly, the 2023 Son La Province Plum and Safe Agricultural Products Week is expected to have 30 booths displaying and introducing OCOP products and safe agricultural products of Son La province including: Plum, mango, tea, etc. This is an opportunity for consumers in Hanoi and some neighboring provinces to visit, experience and shop for safe products of Son La province. At the same time, it opens up opportunities for cooperation in the consumption of agricultural products between farmers, cooperatives of Son La province and businesses operating in the field of agricultural products trading and distributors, retail systems nationwide.
