Tax industry strives to excellently complete tasks in 2024

“Discipline, responsibility; innovation, creativity; timeliness, efficiency; emulation and efforts to successfully complete the goals, targets and tasks of tax work in 2024, making achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Tradition Day of the Vietnamese Tax Sector”. This is the slogan launched by the Provincial Tax Department throughout the sector to promptly motivate and encourage units under and directly under the Tax Department and all civil servants and employees to be determined and make efforts to exceed the targets and tasks of 2024.

Right from the first days and months of 2024, the Provincial Tax Department has resolutely implemented solutions to manage budget collection in the area. In particular, it focuses on closely monitoring the collection progress, evaluating and analyzing each locality, each collection area and tax type to have a plan to direct and manage collection in a timely manner, forecast monthly and quarterly collection in line with actual occurrence. In addition, the Tax Department continues to accompany businesses and people, promptly deploying support packages on tax exemption, reduction, and extension, land rent according to the policies of the National Assembly and the Government so that people and businesses can quickly recover production and business activities; focusing on speeding up the progress of tax refund settlement for organizations, businesses and individuals to ensure timeliness, accuracy, correct subjects and compliance with legal regulations.

The Provincial Tax Department signed a competition agreement with 18 affiliated and subordinate units.

Promoting the results achieved in 2023, the Provincial Tax Department continues to strive to overcome difficulties, enhance solidarity to successfully implement tax tasks in 2024, focusing on key groups of tasks: The Tax sector continues to closely follow the direction and administration of the Government, the Ministry of Finance, the General Department of Taxation and coordinate the direction of Party committees and People's Committees at all levels; proactively deploy the action program to implement the socio-economic development plan and the state budget estimate for 2024 right from the first months of the year. In particular, focusing on tax-related solutions such as: expanding the tax base, recovering tax debts; improving the quality of inspection and examination work, combating revenue loss, smuggling, trade fraud, strictly managing tax calculation prices, combating transfer pricing... to strive to complete assigned tasks.

Resolutely and synchronously deploy revenue management solutions, strive to complete and exceed the assigned budget revenue targets. Closely monitor the budget revenue progress, evaluate, analyze, and promptly report the revenue results. Thereby, identify potential revenue sources, areas, and taxes with revenue losses to promptly propose effective management solutions, recommend to the Provincial People's Committee to direct sectors and local levels to coordinate with tax authorities to strengthen revenue management, promote measures to prevent budget revenue losses. The Tax Department sets out each target and task for the Tax Branches and departments under the unit to strive to perform well the assigned tasks, ensuring quality and on schedule.

At the same time, focus on implementing solutions and policies on tax extension, exemption and reduction, and land rent under the economic recovery and development program; support taxpayers to quickly stabilize production and business, create momentum for economic development, nurture and generate revenue for the state budget. Build and perfect institutions, policies and laws on tax management and tax policies, expand the tax base, ensure transparency, fairness, create a healthy business environment and focus on improving the quality and efficiency of tax management...

The Provincial Tax Department also said that the tasks set for the tax sector in 2024 are very heavy, the whole sector is determined to uphold the spirit of patriotic emulation, solidarity, strive to overcome difficulties to successfully carry out the tax work tasks in 2024; create momentum for the following years to successfully complete the goals of the 5-year Plan 2021 - 2025, celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Tradition Day of the Vietnam Tax Sector, towards the 6th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Tax Sector - 2025.
