(Dan Tri) - Lang Co is an almost pristine bay with a beautiful landscape and is one of the famous tourist attractions of Thua Thien Hue province.
Lang Co Bay is located in Lang Co town, Phu Loc district, Thua Thien Hue province, more than 60km south of Hue city center and about 25km north of Da Nang city. Lang Co is part of the "Central Heritage Road" chain from Phong Nha-Ke Bang Cave to Hue Ancient Capital - Hoi An Ancient Town, My Son Sanctuary. Lang Co is also located on the East-West economic corridor axis, which is gradually promoting the potential and advantages of the region. Lang Co Bay is located right below the majestic Hai Van mountain range, with an area of 42.5 km2, with a white, smooth sand beach stretching over 10 km, Son Cha Island with a rich flora and fauna; clear blue sea water with many rare marine flora and fauna, a biodiversity area, being proposed for inclusion in the list of marine reserves of Vietnam. Lang Co is one of the famous tourist attractions of Thua Thien Hue province. In the past, King Khai Dinh, during his first year of reign, traveled along a stretch of mountains and rivers south of the Capital, when he arrived here, the king exclaimed "What a paradise!". Currently, in An Cu Dong 1 village (Lang Co town, Phu Loc district), there is a stone stele engraved with an essay by King Khai Dinh praising the scenery of Lang Co. Also in this place, King Khai Dinh built "Hanh cung tinh vien" as a resort. On a day in mid-April, when the fog was covering the landscape, Lang Co Bay appeared dreamily, like a "muse" of Hue with perfect curves, shyly in a flowing ao dai. With its natural beauty, Lang Co Bay was admitted to the club of the most beautiful bays in the world on May 16, 2009.
From above, the entire Lang Co town looks like a silk strip, stretching from Phu Gia Pass in the north and Hai Van Pass in the south, surrounded by Lang Co beach on one side and Lap An lagoon on the other. Lang Co beach has long been famous as a beach with the most beautiful natural conditions and scenery in Vietnam, concentrating many tourism resources, with modern infrastructure and equipment. As part of Lang Co Bay, Lap An lagoon is surrounded by the majestic Bach Ma mountain range, nicknamed "Tuyet Tinh Coc" of Hue. The lagoon has an extremely diverse and rich source of aquatic products. Visitors coming here are not only conquered by the romantic and lyrical natural scenery but also have the opportunity to enjoy the famous oyster specialty of Lap An lagoon. Over the past 15 years, since being recognized as a beautiful bay in the world, investment, service business and tourism activities in Lang Co have developed vigorously, becoming a favorite destination for investors, many large-scale projects have been and are being built. On average, Lang Co attracts over 1 million visitors each year for sightseeing and relaxation. Authorities at all levels of Thua Thien Hue province are focusing on investing in developing Lang Co's infrastructure to serve tourism development, while promoting international cooperation programs to protect the world's beautiful bay's environmental resources. Accordingly, Lang Co is oriented to develop in long-term association with the deep-water port, Chan May international industrial and commercial zone, Chan May urban area in the roadmap to build Thua Thien Hue into a centrally-run city, ensuring sustainable and comprehensive development of the functions of rest, living and working of a large urban area. According to the People's Committee of Phu Loc district, Thua Thien Hue province, on May 10-12, this locality will organize a program to celebrate "Lang Co - World Beautiful Bay - 15 years of Construction and Development" with many exciting and attractive activities, imbued with regional cultural identity.
