Accordingly, Ms. Zakharova accused the Ukrainian military of deliberately targeting the nuclear facility with three UAVs. She said: "One of the UAVs filled with explosives crashed into a nuclear waste warehouse and damaged the walls. Two other UAVs fell into the administrative building complex on the plant's premises."

Citing preliminary reports, a Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman said: “The UAVs used to attack the nuclear power plant had components supplied by Western countries.”

Ms. Zakharova continued to affirm that the Ukrainian leadership "has no qualms about using nuclear terrorism" in the conflict with Russia.

The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman stressed that the latest air attack “could lead to a full-scale nuclear catastrophe and affect many countries” , and accused Western countries of supporting Kiev in this dangerous raid.

Ms. Zakharova accused the West of supporting Ukraine in this attack, and called on countries as well as international organizations and non-governmental organizations to "condemn Kiev's dangerous actions".

The Kursk nuclear power plant is located in the Kursk region, about 60km from the Ukrainian border. Russia has repeatedly accused Ukraine of trying to sabotage its vital energy infrastructure, including nuclear power plants, amid the ongoing conflict.
