On December 28, the People's Committee of Cao Bang province coordinated with the People's Government of the Zhuang Autonomous Region (Guangxi province, China) to organize a ceremony to announce the upgrading of the Tra Linh (Vietnam) - Long Bang (China) border gate pair into an international border gate, including the Na Doong (Vietnam) - Na Ray (China) customs clearance.

Cao Bang province and Bach Sac city have the Soc Giang - Binh Mang bilateral border gate pair, the Tra Linh - Long Bang international border gate pair including the Na Doong - Na Ray customs clearance; the Po Peo - Nhac Vu border gate pair and the Dinh Phong - Tan Hung opening.
In particular, Tra Linh (Vietnam) - Long Bang (China) border gate is the most convenient road route connecting the Southwest region, China to ASEAN countries.
After the Tra Linh (Vietnam) - Long Bang (China) border gate is upgraded to an international border gate, the scope of entry and exit, import and export of goods and vehicles from third countries will be expanded.
This will promote economic and trade cooperation between the two countries and the region, improve customs clearance efficiency, further deepen the Vietnam-China friendship, ensure smooth border gate operations, and enhance the comprehensive openness of the border areas on both sides.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Hoang Xuan Anh, Chairman of Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that the official upgrading of the Tra Linh (Vietnam) - Long Bang (China) international border gate pair is an important premise for the two sides to carry out planning, attract investment, upgrade infrastructure; study appropriate policy mechanisms, create favorable conditions for import and export activities, promote cooperation and comprehensive development.
Thereby promoting people-to-people exchange activities, meeting the legitimate needs of the people, businesses and investors of the two countries. This is an important milestone affirming the development of cooperative relations between Cao Bang province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in particular, between Vietnam and China in general, contributing practically to building the Vietnam-China land border into a peaceful, stable and friendly border.
The two provinces should further promote exchange and cooperation activities in a synchronous and modern manner, meeting the trade and travel needs of the people of the two countries to promote economic development, bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries, contributing to deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and China, Mr. Anh suggested.
At the same time, the two sides directed functional forces to strengthen coordination in managing and effectively operating the pair of international border gates, focusing on information exchange; promptly coordinate in handling situations, and draw lessons to ensure a peaceful, stable, cooperative and long-term developing border.
Ms. Yang Jinghua, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China), affirmed that in the coming time, the two sides will continue to implement the motto "Friendly neighbors, comprehensive cooperation, long-term stability, and looking towards the future".
The two sides will be "Good neighbors, good friends, good comrades, good partners", maintaining and promoting open cooperation between the two countries, serving the successful task of socio-economic development.
Ms. Hoa also hopes that the two sides will take advantage of border gate and opening resources; improve the level of investment and trade cooperation, promote and expand exchanges and cooperation in fields such as economy, agriculture, culture, tourism... contributing to promoting the China-Vietnam relationship to a new height./.
