Overview of the working session.
Up to now, the 110kV power grid managed by Thanh Hoa PC includes 30 110kV substations/48 transformers with a total installed capacity of 2,159 MVA and 70 lines with a total length of 1,098.35km, of which the Power assets are 63 lines with 877.44km playing an important role in ensuring stable and safe power supply in the area.
Mr. Nguyen Tu Phuc, Director of Thanh Hoa High Voltage Grid Enterprise, reported on the current status and plan to minimize incidents on the 110kV grid.
However, the 110 kV power grid system still has some shortcomings such as: Degraded technical infrastructure with many long-term operating equipment, degraded insulation system, especially in dusty areas and coastal areas with salty air such as Nghi Son, Bim Son, Nga Son, Sam Son; the impact of harsh weather conditions in some areas with high risk of incidents due to lightning strikes, storms and floods, threatening the safety of the system. Some areas with high lightning density such as power lines in Bim Son town, Ha Trung, Hau Loc, Hoang Hoa districts..., Bai Tranh commune (Nhu Xuan) have potential risks of incidents when lightning strikes the power line; Some single power lines are difficult to cut off, leading to limited overhaul, repair and handling of power grid defects such as the Thieu Yen - Vinh Loc - Ngoc Lac - Ba Thuoc power line. In addition, some sections of the power line corridor pass through people's land, while the land in the power grid safety corridor has not yet enjoyed support policies on restricted use. This makes the work of lobbying for corridor clearance difficult.
Representatives of the Company's departments and offices and the High Voltage Enterprise discussed and discussed plans to minimize incidents on the 110kV power grid in the coming time.
Chaired by Director of PC Thanh Hoa Hoang Hai, the meeting discussed and proposed solutions to improve operational efficiency and minimize grid incidents. Accordingly, the synchronous solutions focused on the following main contents: Strengthening inspection and maintenance of the grid system through reviewing and listing equipment that needs maintenance, repair and replacement for approval. Prioritizing the handling of areas with high risk of incidents, especially old transformer stations, poorly insulated power lines and implementing at the appropriate time. Applying modern technology to operational management, taking advantage of modern inspection equipment that has been equipped such as thermal cameras, automatic measuring equipment to detect early signs of abnormalities on the power line. Applying artificial intelligence (AI) and SCADA systems to data analysis, monitoring operating status, thereby issuing timely warnings. Strengthening propaganda and mobilizing people to voluntarily trim trees that violate the power grid corridor. Organize regular fire prevention and fighting training, check lightning protection systems, improve incident handling skills in case of fire and explosion. Provide advanced training for technical staff.
Director of Thanh Hoa PC Hoang Hai gave a speech at the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, Director of Thanh Hoa Power Company Hoang Hai emphasized: We must not allow subjective errors to affect the stability of the national power system. In the immediate future, it is necessary to upgrade power lines and strengthen insulation in areas at high risk of incidents. Replace old equipment, especially at important transformer stations, to ensure stable system operation in the long term. The immediate goal is to provide safe and stable power in the summer of 2025.
Director Hoang Hai requested the unit to regularly coordinate with project management boards (BA) to speed up the progress of projects in Thanh Hoa province. In the acceptance work, create maximum conditions for project management boards and contractors to ensure compliance with regulations and technical acceptance before putting into operation.
With innovative thinking, drastic ways of doing things, high consensus from within and support from local authorities and people in the province, PC Thanh Hoa believes that difficulties and obstacles will be gradually and thoroughly resolved. Thereby, not only aiming to minimize incidents but also focusing on building a modern, sustainable power system, applying advanced technology. This will be an important foundation to improve the reliability of power supply, optimize operations and better meet future electricity needs.
