On April 22, Long Thanh My Ward Police (Thu Duc City) is coordinating with related units to investigate the case of a male shipper (delivery person) having his motorbike stolen with more than 80 orders.
The victim was Mr. Huynh Van Son (34 years old, from Vinh Long), a delivery man for a shipping unit.
Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Son said that on the morning of April 21, he went to the post office to receive more than 100 orders to deliver to customers. When he delivered 25 orders, it was already lunchtime, so he stopped his car in front of a restaurant on Hang Tre Street, Long Thanh My Ward, to go inside to eat.
"I accidentally forgot to take out the car keys. After eating a few spoonfuls, I heard people shouting, I ran out, the thief had already gotten in the car and run away...", Mr. Son said.
At the time of the incident, he had 81 orders on his car, worth more than 11 million VND in total. The company asked him to pay for the lost orders.
Mr. Son confided that his family was in difficult circumstances. About 5 years ago, he left his hometown with his wife to start a business in Ho Chi Minh City. The couple has a 14-year-old child who is going to school. For many reasons, he had to leave his child in his hometown for relatives to take care of.

"Before, I was a freelancer, working to make ends meet. Two years ago, the economy was difficult, so both my husband and I switched to working as shippers, but it wasn't very good.
Every month, the money I save is only enough to send back home to support my children's education, the rest is just enough to pay for room and board, there is no extra money. Now that my truck has been lost, I have to run around and borrow money everywhere to pay the company back," said Mr. Son.
Previously, as Dan Tri reported, at around 11am on April 21, Mr. Son was having lunch on Hang Tre Street, Long Thanh My Ward, when two men approached him on a motorbike. The man sitting behind him got off, started the motorbike, and then fled with his accomplices. The victim reported the incident to the police immediately afterwards.
The entire theft lasted for more than ten seconds and was recorded by a home security camera. After being posted on social media, the clip received thousands of interactions, with many people expressing outrage at the two thieves' daring behavior.
"Too reckless, now stealing the shipper's vehicle in broad daylight", "Too rampant, hope the police will soon get involved and arrest him", "I feel sorry for the shipper, working hard and still having his vehicle stolen",... many social media users expressed their opinions.
