Motorola Razr is luring iPhone users

Samsung, Motorola, and Google have all released foldable smartphones, while Apple is the only major company that hasn’t entered the market. That’s why Motorola has seen more and more iPhone users switching to its new Razr line, with a 20% share.

Motorola's foldable smartphone is luring iPhone users

Samsung still dominates this market, and the 20% of Razr users switching from iPhones isn't a clear figure, as the company doesn't say how many people have bought its foldable smartphone.

The foldable smartphone market is also a small part of global smartphone sales, which means Apple doesn't have to worry about iPhone users switching to Android just because they want a foldable smartphone. Apple is also reportedly working on its own foldable device, but it will release it much later than its competitors. Last year, DSCC analyst Ross Young said Apple could delay the release of its foldable smartphone until 2025 because the company doesn't seem to be in a rush to enter the foldable smartphone market, and it could take even longer.

As a result, customers who want a foldable smartphone are having to look to Android-powered alternatives, such as the Motorola Razr or the Galaxy Z series. However, not all iPhone users want to switch because current foldable smartphones are fragile, do not run iOS, and do not offer the same ecosystem integration as Apple.
