Sharing with us, Truong Ngoc Anh said the reason she returned to cinema was because she admired director Daniel K. Winn. In addition, the script of Chiec coon was also a factor that attracted the actress. “When I heard him share about his life, I was moved. I suddenly felt that my difficulties and failures were nothing. That was a great source of motivation for me when I accepted the invitation to participate in this long-term project,” she expressed.

Along with the excitement, Truong Ngoc Anh admitted that she had to face pressure. She said that this is a film project combining a Vietnamese and American crew, two different cultures, so it faced many challenges. "Although we had time to prepare, of course at first when we combined, we were not in harmony. But after a while, we coordinated better and learned a lot from each other," the 7X actress shared.

Talking about balancing the two roles in the same project, Truong Ngoc Anh said that the task of a producer is more stressful. “Because this is a cooperation project between Vietnam and the US, we have to be meticulous in the way we work and communicate. Of course, we also have arguments. But looking back, I see many interesting experiences when learning from each other. The foreign crew also learned a lot from the Vietnamese crew, especially diligence, eagerness to learn, and creativity. I am proud of my crew,” she expressed.

During the conversation, when asked about her financial situation after the incident, Truong Ngoc Anh said everything was stable. She said she had filed a lawsuit, demanding tens of billions of dong. “In general, things are much better now. Last year was a year of practice, no matter what people said, I told them that the product was important. Everyone understands how I live,” she shared.

Notably, the project Chiec cocoon also marks the return of artist Kieu Chinh to acting after 10 years. According to Truong Ngoc Anh, at the age of 88, the senior is still active in her work and busy with her career. “Her wish is to act in a film in Vietnam. Taking on the main role in this film is a pressure, with many heavy scenes in harsh weather. But when working with her, I see that she is truly a star because of her creative working spirit. I learned a lot from her,” Truong Ngoc Anh shared.

The actress added that in order for artist Kieu Chinh to participate in this project, as a producer, she also had to give preferential treatment to her senior in terms of schedule. According to Truong Ngoc Anh, at present, artist Kieu Chinh is 88 years old so her health must be prioritized.

“The work schedule we set out must have time for her to rest. But honestly, once she got to work, she no longer cared about the contract and wanted to work, even when there were extra scenes. The film crew fulfilled all the things her manager asked for, but in the end she didn’t need anything, just focused on working,” said Truong Ngoc Anh. Regarding the story of artist Kieu Chinh’s “huge” salary, Truong Ngoc Anh said that it was worth it.
