A member of Savico's Board of Directors resigns.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Cuong, Member of Savico Board of Directors, resigned from his position at the Company after 6 months of appointment.

Saigon General Services Joint Stock Company (stock code: SVC) announced a resolution on receiving the resignation letter of Mr. Nguyen Viet Cuong.

In his resignation letter, Mr. Cuong said that due to personal reasons, he could no longer continue to work as a member of the company's Board of Directors. The resignation letter was written by Mr. Cuong on September 27 and requested to terminate his position as a member of the Board of Directors from the date of approval by the General Meeting of Shareholders.

Mr. Cuong was elected as a member of Savico's Board of Directors from April 3, 2024. Thus, Mr. Cuong resigned after only half a year of being appointed.

Before being elected to the Board of Directors of Savico, Mr. Cuong held the role of Vice Chairman and General Director of Viet Nhat Medical Equipment Joint Stock Company.

After Mr. Cuong resigned, Savico's Board of Directors had 6 members left. Specifically, Mr. Vu Dinh Do held the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Chau held the position of Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors consisted of 4 members: Mr. Ho Viet Ha, Mr. Tran Quang Truong, Mr. Tran Hai Anh and Mr. Ngo Van Danh. Of which, Mr. Hai Anh and Mr. Danh were appointed at the same time as Mr. Cuong.

On September 27, Savico announced information on accepting nominations for new members of the Board of Directors. According to the announcement, shareholders will exercise their right to nominate and run for membership of the Board of Directors from September 27 to 4:00 p.m. on October 4, 2024. On October 4, the company will finalize the list of qualified candidates and send certified ballots to each shareholder. It is expected that on October 16, the Board of Directors will conduct a vote count to collect the opinions sent by shareholders.

Regarding the business situation, in the first half of 2024, Savico's audited net revenue was approximately VND 9,453 billion, up slightly from VND 9,246 billion in the same period last year. Gross profit during this period was approximately VND 726 billion, up 8.7% over the same period. Gross profit margin reached 7.7%.

After deducting expenses, the company reported pre-tax and after-tax profits of VND99.4 billion and VND94.6 billion, respectively, 3.5 times and 3.8 times higher than the same period in 2023.

Compared to the target of total revenue of VND 24,230 billion (up 16% over the same period), pre-tax profit of VND 171.9 billion (3.5 times higher than last year) and after-tax profit of VND 125 billion (2.8 times higher than the same period) set at this year's general meeting of shareholders, Savico has completed 39% of the revenue plan, 57.8% and 75.7% of the profit target, respectively.

The Board of Directors plans to pay a dividend of 5% this year, equivalent to the level set for 2023. The Board of Directors said it will optimize the Savico ecosystem and combine resources with the Tasco system, focusing on increasing the exploitation rate and efficiency of value-added segments (accessories, insurance, financial services, vehicle registration, etc.) to develop a comprehensive service chain related to automobiles.

As of the end of June, Savico's total assets reached VND7,937 billion, an increase of VND763 billion compared to the beginning of the year. Short-term items accounted for VND4,551 billion in the company's asset structure. Of which, the company's cash and cash equivalents were nearly VND356 billion.

Liabilities are approximately VND 5,161 billion, most of which are short-term. Owner's equity is nearly VND 2,777 billion, and undistributed profit after tax is nearly VND 782 billion.

On the stock exchange, SVC is currently at VND24,600, down 4.28% compared to the reference price and 13.3% compared to the beginning of the year price (VND28,390). Market capitalization is approximately VND1,639 billion.
