Class admission and gathering of grade 10 students will be announced after a specific schedule is available.

Yesterday, August 16, Mr. Bui Tuan Anh, Principal of Nguyen Duc Canh High School (Thai Binh City), also signed a notice about postponing the gathering of students at the beginning of the school year.

Accordingly, on July 31, the Principal of Nguyen Duc Canh High School announced to all staff, teachers, employees and students of the school about gathering students for the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year on August 19. However, due to work conditions, the school postponed gathering students until further notice.

Mr. Bui Tuan Anh said that he is waiting for the conclusion of the inspection of the 10th grade entrance exam scores, so this is also the reason why the school postponed gathering students according to the plan at the beginning of the new school year. It is known that this school postponed gathering students of all 3 grades 10, 11 and 12.

The announcement of a number of high schools in Thai Binh to postpone the schedule of receiving classes and gathering 10th grade students for the 2024-2025 school year due to the scandal of reviewing 10th grade entrance exam scores that Thanh Nien Newspaper has reported recently.

Specifically, the 10th grade entrance exam in Thai Binh province took place from June 6 to 8. On June 16, when they started looking up their exam scores, many candidates were shocked because their scores were unusually low, while on the contrary, some other candidates received unusually high scores, so parents and students submitted appeals.

According to the review results, many candidates had initial scores in literature and math ranging from 2 to 4 points, but after the review, their scores increased to 8 to 9.5 points.

Faced with the above irregularities, some parents whose children took the 10th grade entrance exam in Thai Binh province for the 2024-2025 school year filed a complaint against Mr. Nguyen Viet Hien, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Thai Binh province, and those involved in the admission work in the 10th grade entrance exam.

Immediately afterwards, the People's Committee of Thai Binh province issued many decisions to clarify the incident.

On the evening of July 31, the People's Committee of Thai Binh province issued a decision to temporarily suspend Mr. Nguyen Viet Hien from work starting from July 31 to serve the inspection of the organization of the entrance exam for grade 10 high school. The suspension period is 15 days.

On the same day, the People's Committee of Thai Binh province issued Decision No. 1236/QD-UBND, assigning Mr. Pham Van Nghiem, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, to be in charge of managing the activities of the Department of Education and Training during the time Mr. Nguyen Viet Hien was temporarily suspended from work.

Currently, the Thai Binh Provincial Inspection Team continues to conduct inspections to review and find out the causes of the above shortcomings.
