“I am really proud of this club – Man City. What we have achieved is an extraordinary achievement,” said Pep Guardiola after the 4-0 win over Flumimense in the FIFA Club World Cup final.
Julian Alvarez, the best player of the match, contributed 2 goals and an assist for Phil Foden to score and the remaining goal was an own goal.

With this result, Man City collected all the club-level titles under Pep Guardiola, with a 5-goal streak in 2023, including the Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League, European Super Cup and the title just achieved in Saudi Arabia.
The Spanish manager added: “Winning the FIFA Club World Cup means being the best team in the world. All the players, the coaching staff and the staff have worked hard every day to bring this success. As a manager, the thing I am most proud of is that we are always there. It doesn’t matter how many trophies we win or how many trophies we win, we are always there to win the next one. Winning the treble is special, but winning two more trophies to make it five shows the unique mentality of the team, the club and the fans of Man City. This is something that no other English team has ever done. We will always remember this wonderful time we spent together.”
In the past, MU was the first English team to win a spectacular treble in 1999, but missed out on a quintet due to losing in the European Super Cup.
