MoMo continues to accompany Operation Smile

MoMo has accompanied and become an important donation channel and strategic partner of Operation Smile Vietnam.

MoMo has accompanied Operation Smile Vietnam for many years.

Through the MoMo charity platform, MoMo Piggy Bank, benefactors can donate to support surgery costs for children with facial deformities sought and sponsored by Operation Smile Vietnam.

As of August 2023, after nearly 4 years of companionship, MoMo and Operation Smile Vietnam have successfully called for 34 million Golden Pigs through walking and raising Golden Pigs to donate, nearly 700,000 cash donations, helping to bring a completely new look to 1,233 unfortunate children with cleft lip and palate deformities in Vietnam.

From August 29, Operation Smile Vietnam in collaboration with the Central Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology in Ho Chi Minh City has performed humanitarian surgery for 72 children with facial deformities. The budget for this program comes from the support of the MoMo philanthropist community (MoMo Piggy Bank community) in 2023. Since 2019, the MoMo philanthropist community has supported the cost to help 1,233 children with facial deformities find a complete smile, towards a better future.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Phuong, Chief Representative of Operation Smile in Vietnam, shared: "In the coming time, MoMo will still be one of the important partners of Operation Smile. Especially in 2024, to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the organization's presence in Vietnam, Operation Smile hopes to accompany MoMo in projects with third-party partners, bringing many smiles to patients and participating in projects and training courses to bring sustainable and long-term development to the Vietnamese health system."

According to the plan for the last 4 months of 2023, on average each month, the MoMo philanthropist community will donate 20 smiles in cash on MoMo Heart and by raising Golden Pigs for donors to convert into cash equivalent to 80 smiles for Operation Smile Vietnam's charitable surgery programs.
