Dismissal of the position of Chairman of Ninh Hoa Town People's Committee

On August 22, the People's Council of Ninh Hoa town (Khanh Hoa province) issued a resolution confirming the results of the dismissal of Mr. Nguyen Vinh Thanh from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Ninh Hoa town, term XII, 2021-2026.

Accordingly, at the thematic session on August 18, delegates of the People's Council of Ninh Hoa town, term XII, 2021-2026, voted to dismiss the Chairman of the People's Committee of the town. The Standing Committee of the People's Council of the town will complete the procedures and submit them to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province for approval according to the law.

Previously, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee reviewed, approved the inspection results, and disciplined Mr. Thanh. In his role as Vice Chairman of the Town People's Committee (from November 2014 to July 2019) and Chairman of the Ninh Hoa Town People's Committee (from December 2019 to December 2021), Mr. Nguyen Vinh Thanh was irresponsible in inspecting, supervising, and urging specialized agencies to carry out the recovery and management of houses and land and requesting people to dismantle construction works on the land to hand over to the State for management.

In addition, Mr. Nguyen Vinh Thanh also did not consult the People's Committee of Ninh Hoa town before signing the decision to approve the compensation and resettlement plan, in which he arranged a resettlement plot that was not in accordance with regulations.

Considering the content, nature, level and cause of the violation, based on Party regulations, the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission decided to discipline Mr. Nguyen Vinh Thanh with a warning.

After being disciplined, Mr. Thanh submitted a resignation letter. Currently, Mr. Nguyen Vinh Thanh is waiting for another assignment.

According to information, after Mr. Nguyen Vinh Thanh was dismissed from his position, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Hai, Vice Chairman of Ninh Hoa Town People's Committee, was assigned to be in charge of leading the Ninh Hoa Town People's Committee.
