It is forecasted that around October 20, this cold air mass will affect the Northeast region, then affect the North Central region and some places in the Northwest.
Due to the influence of cold air, inland there are winds of level 2 - level 3. Coastal areas from Quang Ninh to Thai Binh, due to the influence of cold air combined with the circulation of storm No. 5, there are strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 7 - level 8.
In the North and North Central regions, it is cold at night and in the morning, in the northern mountainous regions it is cold at night and in the early morning.
During this cold air mass, the lowest temperature in the North and North Central regions is generally from 19 - 22 degrees Celsius, in the mountainous areas of the North it is generally 16 - 19 degrees Celsius, in the high mountainous areas it is below 15 degrees Celsius.
From October 20, in the Gulf of Tonkin, including the island districts of Co To (Quang Ninh), Bach Long Vi (Hai Phong), due to the influence of storm No. 5 combined with cold air, there will be strong winds of level 6 - level 7, the area near the storm's center will have strong winds of level 8, gusts of level 10, waves 3 - 5 m high, rough seas.
During this cold spell, the temperature in Hanoi will drop by 5 - 7 degrees Celsius, the highest temperature will be 25 degrees Celsius, the lowest temperature will be 21 degrees Celsius.
