On the afternoon of December 6, Chairwoman of the Hanoi City Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Lan Huong visited, presented gifts and expressed gratitude to Major General Huynh Dac Huong, Hero of the People's Armed Forces, former Head of the Expert Delegation and Political Commissar of the Vietnamese Volunteer Army in Laos; and offered incense to commemorate General Le Trong Tan (1914-1986), former Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense.
This is an activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024), and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024).
On behalf of the city's leaders, Chairwoman of the Hanoi City Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Lan Huong kindly visited Major General Huynh Dac Huong and the family of General Le Trong Tan, wishing Major General Huynh Dac Huong a happy and healthy life, always being a shining example, a source of encouragement and motivation for generations of leaders, cadres and people of the capital.
Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong said that the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day is an opportunity for cadres and people of the capital to review the heroic and glorious tradition of the heroic Vietnam People's Army through 80 years of building, fighting, growing and winning; arousing national honor and pride.
This is also an opportunity to encourage the entire Party, the entire people and the entire army to continue to promote the glorious tradition, focus on building a national defense associated with an increasingly solid people's security posture, build a strong defense area of the capital, maintain a peaceful and stable environment to build an increasingly prosperous and happy country. The Party Committee, government and people of the city are determined to firmly protect the achievements of the revolution, unite and strive to build the city to become more and more prosperous and beautiful, and the people's lives to become more and more prosperous and happy.
Major General Huynh Dac Huong and the family of General Le Trong Tan thanked the city leaders for their visit and expressed their confidence in the leadership and direction of the city's Party Committee and government.
