With raw materials from young bamboo shoots harvested from the primeval forests in Hang Dong, Son La, where the climate is cool all year round, creating excellent quality bamboo shoots. After harvesting, they will be purchased by Hang Dong Agricultural and Medicinal Cooperative, the bamboo shoots are carefully processed, removing the old parts, then soaked with salt, chili and spices according to a secret recipe, ensuring food hygiene and safety.
Bamboo shoots have a crunchy texture, the spicy taste of chili, the rich salty taste of salt mixed with the sweet taste of bamboo shoots, creating an extremely attractive dish. Hang Dong bamboo shoots with chili salt can be processed into many delicious dishes such as stir-fried, soup, salad, etc., helping family meals become more rich and diverse.
" The cooperative has cooperated to build factories, invest in specialized equipment, and train and instruct members on the process of processing bamboo shoots with chili. Up to now, this product has been available on the national market. In 2019, Hang Dong bamboo shoots with chili participated in the province's OCOP program and was one of the products favored by customers, thereby contributing to increasing farmers' income ," said Mr. Thao A Trong.
