Here, the Organizing Committee presented 1,143 gifts with a total value of over 360 million VND to poor people and students in disadvantaged areas of Chu Krey commune.

The atmosphere at Nguyen Khuyen Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Chu Krey Commune) was as joyful as a festival. On each innocent face of the students, there was clear anticipation and excitement. Overcoming their initial shyness and hesitation, the students boldly and enthusiastically participated in the cheerleading games and answered questions to receive meaningful gifts from the program. The sound of applause and cheers echoed throughout the schoolyard.

We are very grateful that the District Red Cross Association connected with benefactors to organize this meaningful program. The gifts, although not of great value, contain love and sharing, helping poor students have more motivation to continue to excel in their studies."

Ms. Hoang Thi Ngoc Nhon - Lecturer at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, Head of Dong Khanh Tam Volunteer Group - shared: "This is the 11th time we have organized the program. But this is the first time we have come to the people and students in the disadvantaged areas of Gia Lai.

In addition to giving away 1,143 Tet gifts, we also organized a program with the colors of spring. We hope that the people here will have a warm Tet. In addition, the group also donated 15 solar lighting projects to Hrach village and Chau village of Chu Krey commune.

Receiving gifts during the days before Tet, Mr. Dinh Trong (So Ron village) could not help but be moved. Mr. Trong's family is poor. Every day, he has to work for hire to take care of 6 mouths. Mr. Trong happily said: "The gifts include necessities and warm clothes. It is a warm gift of humanity. I am very happy to receive this gift, thank you very much to the kind-hearted people."

The family of Mrs. Dinh Thi Pol (from the same village of So Ron) also received a gift from the program. Mrs. Pol shared: “I am very grateful for the generosity of the benefactors. Although it is still difficult, I feel warmed by the precious sharing of the community for my family.”

The program also presented 700 gifts including books and school supplies to poor and disadvantaged students. Receiving the gifts, Dinh Thi Vi (grade 8, Veh village) happily said: “I am very happy to receive gifts from the program. Not only do I receive money for my family, but I also receive warm clothes, backpacks, notebooks, milk, candy and school supplies... for me. I thank you and everyone very much.”

Mr. Mai Van Phong - Vice Chairman of the Red Cross Society of Kong Chro district - informed: "The whole district has 13,082 households, of which 3,643 are poor households and 1,782 are near-poor households. Up to now, the Red Cross at all levels in the district have connected with organizations and individuals to support over 5,800 gifts with a total value of over 1.5 billion VND.

From now until Tet, the District Red Cross Society continues to coordinate to organize many activities such as: giving 600 Tet gifts worth 300 million VND to the poor, disadvantaged and disabled people in Dak Ko Ning commune; giving 670 gifts worth 177.6 million VND to the poor, disadvantaged and students in An Trung commune. The community's sharing and kind hearts help students and poor people in difficult areas have more conditions to enjoy spring and celebrate Tet At Ty.
