Man Utd quietly looking for replacement for coach Ten Hag

(Dan Tri) - Man Utd secretly negotiated with former Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez to replace coach Ten Hag if the "Red Devils" performance does not improve in the upcoming matches.

According to the British press, the Man Utd leadership had a meeting to negotiate with coach Xavi Hernandez 10 days ago. The former Spanish international is currently without a new job after leaving Barcelona. He spent 2 and a half years leading the Catalan team and helped the team win another La Liga and a Spanish Super Cup.

Coach Xavi said that he does not want to coach any other Spanish team besides Barcelona and if he continues his coaching job, he will go abroad. With the current situation, it is very likely that the 44-year-old strategist is ready to accept the offer from Man Utd.

In addition to Xavi, faces such as Ruben Amorim (Sporting Lisbon coach) and Edin Terzic (former Borussia Dortmund coach) are also on the list targeted by the "Red Devils" leadership.

Coach Amorim has led Sporting since 2020 and won many major and minor titles with the team, including 2 Portuguese championships. The 39-year-old coach is currently considered one of the best young coaches in Europe today.
