New generation Galaxy Z series reaches Vietnamese users

Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 are two models in the foldable smartphone line, and are also Samsung's last flagship pair in 2023. The products were launched on July 26 in Korea and began taking orders in Vietnam shortly after. By the evening of August 11, major distributors nationwide began delivering the devices to customers.

According to Ms. Phung Phuong, representative of Mobile World Communications, as of the opening day, the system had over 700 pre-orders for the product, about 30% higher than the previous generation. Of which, about 60% of users chose the Galaxy Z Flip5, the rest were the Galaxy Z Fold5. Regarding the color version, the Mint Green color of the Galaxy Z Flip5 is still the most popular among users.

" Normally, new colors will always be of interest to many users. In particular, this year's Mint Green color brings users youthfulness, dynamism and novelty, which most women and fashionistas really like, " Ms. Phuong shared.

Interest in the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 has increased due to their valuable improvements over the previous generation in both design and performance. Most of them focus on the features that users are most interested in when it comes to foldable screen products, such as invisible folds, no gaps when folded, the Z Flip5's secondary screen is larger and more flexible, the new chip brings powerful performance, etc.

" However, the number of deposits, as well as the growth of Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 at Mobile World has not been as expected, because the current economic situation has more or less affected the purchasing power of users, " Ms. Phuong added. According to Ms. Phuong, on the night of the early sale of the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 duo, this system returned more than 100 devices to users nationwide, accounting for about 15% of the product pre-orders.

At the CellphoneS system, the number of pre-orders reached 1,500 people, an increase of 30% compared to the same pair last year. Of which, Galaxy Z Fold5 is still chosen by many customers with 55% of the total number of deposits. Of which, Blue accounts for the majority of nearly 60%, Phantom Black more than 25%.

In particular, the Galaxy Z Flip5 this year increased by 45%, showing that customers are choosing the Flip series more and more. Customers pre-ordered the most in Mint Green and Purple. With the free memory upgrade offer, the 512 GB version is almost always chosen by customers on the Galaxy Z series this year.

Z Flip5 has a high interest rate in many retail systems

"Old products are priced better than the general market, with an additional subsidy of 2 million VND. Thanks to that, the rate of customers choosing to sell their old devices to upgrade to Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 reached a record, accounting for up to 70% ," a representative of CellphoneS revealed.

At the same time, as of 6 p.m. on August 11, FPT Shop received about 2,500 orders. During the opening sale event, the system delivered 500 genuine Galaxy Z5 series devices to users. Of which, Galaxy Z Flip5 accounted for 55% of the total number of devices this time.

The representative of the unit said that the Icy Blue color on the Galaxy Z Fold5 and the Mint Green color on the Galaxy Z Flip5 are the preferred choice of most customers. According to statistics from the system, the number of pre-orders for the Galaxy Z5 series foldable phone increased by about 20% compared to the previous generation Galaxy Z4 series launched in August 2022.
