TPO – As an important infrastructure part in the modern and synchronous “air – water – land” connection system, Hoang Gia Bridge is considered one of the key projects that has a significant impact on the development of the entire area of Hai Phong City.
With a total investment of nearly 2,000 billion VND, the Hoang Gia Bridge (also known as the Chai Bridge) across the Cam River - Hai Phong City is being accelerated and is expected to be completed ahead of schedule. |
This bridge has a total length of nearly 2.2km including the main bridge and approach bridges. |
The main bridge is 21m wide, designed with 4 lanes; the approach bridges on both sides are 17.5m wide. |
The Royal Bridge starts at Vu Yen Island, Thuy Nguyen Commune, Thuy Nguyen District; the end point intersects with Le Thanh Tong Street at Cau Tre in May Chai Ward, Ngo Quyen District, Hai Phong City. |
The total investment capital of the bridge is nearly 2,000 billion VND. |
The design of the Royal Bridge is in harmony with the architectural landscape of Hai Phong City, and at the same time becomes one of the architectural highlights. |
The design concept of the Royal Bridge is the World Gateway Bridge with two towers leaning towards the river. |
This design creates a curved arch with the implication of being an international welcome door to Vietnam and sending Vietnamese trains and passengers out to the world. |
Each bridge tower has a special shape, inspired by the image of a bird's wings, representing the desire to fly high and reach success. In addition, the V-shaped wings symbolize Vietnam and Victory - meaning victory. |
Currently, the project has reached about 60% of the total volume. In particular, the construction of the roundabout approach bridge on Vu Yen island is ahead of schedule, reaching nearly 90%. |
Recently, the contractor has focused resources on the project to speed up the construction progress and ensure technical standards. Engineers and workers with experience in constructing modern cable-stayed bridge projects in the country such as My Thuan, Bach Dang, Tran Thi Ly, Rach Mieu 1-2 bridges, etc. have also been mobilized to the Hoang Gia (May Chai) bridge project. |
