Energy security is a pillar in Vietnam's economic development policy. Vietnam's green growth strategy towards a green economy with three pillars: Reducing greenhouse gas emissions; green production; and green consumption is also a good opportunity for developing clean energy, zero and low carbon energy. Facing that trend, T&T Group is actively implementing Resolution No. 55 of the Politburo on the orientation of the National Energy Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045.
ENERGY
T&T Group advocates developing renewable energy and low-carbon energy (such as LNG) to contribute to the development of the energy industry in terms of both the structure and proportion of power sources. The Group is currently implementing synchronous development of large-scale projects in the Central region - the Central Highlands and the Southern region. Towards the 2035 target, the Group and its partners have proposed to supplement the VIII Power Plan, adding nearly 30Gw including: solar power, onshore wind power, offshore wind power, LNG power, biomass power and waste-to-energy. The projects have been agreed upon by the Provincial People's Committees to submit to the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Prime Minister for updating in the Plan.
ENVIRONMENT
In line with the orientation of sustainable economic development in parallel with the interests of the community, T&T Group has invested and developed environmental projects that contribute to solving social problems. The Group has completed the research process and been licensed to implement a number of large, key projects in Hanoi, Hung Yen & Thai Nguyen. Environmental development items are being invested and developed:
- Domestic waste and solid waste treatment plants with a processing capacity of 1,000 tons/day in Hanoi.
- Industrial waste treatment plant in Thai Nguyen: capacity of 2,300 tons/day & medical waste capacity of 600 tons/day & liquid hazardous waste with capacity of 600 tons/day.
- Waste-to-energy plants in Hanoi have a capacity of 50 MWH.
