Formula for calculating admission score
Candidates should note the formula for calculating admission scores to grade 10 of non-specialized public high schools in the 2023-2024 school year of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training to be proactive in the review process as well as calculating admission scores.
The calculation formula is as follows:
Admission score = (Math test score + Literature test score) x 2 + Foreign language test score + Priority points (if any).
In which, the test scores of each subject are calculated on a 10-point scale. Regarding the admission principles, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training clearly stipulates: Recruiting candidates who wish to register for admission to the school, taking the admission scores from high to low until the quota is full. The Department only considers admission for students who have enough test scores according to regulations, do not violate the exam regulations to the point of canceling the exam results, and do not have any exam scores of 0.
According to statistics from the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the city currently has 129,210 ninth graders. These students will participate in the recognition of junior high school graduation in the 2022-2023 school year.
Hanoi plans to enroll about 72,000 students in grade 10 of public high schools, accounting for 55.7%.
