In January, cherry blossoms, in February, plum blossoms... Moc Chau's spring flowers bloom together, attracting many tourists to come and take pictures.
In particular, this year's plum blossom season is considered the most beautiful flower season in the past 10 years, with thick, white flowers covering all the valleys of Moc Chau.
Since Tet, the number of visitors to Moc Chau has increased dramatically.
Ms. Dinh Thi Huong, head of the Department of Culture and Information of Moc Chau district, said that during the Lunar New Year alone, the number of visitors to Moc Chau doubled compared to last year.
From January 25 to February 28, Moc Chau is expected to welcome 930,000 visitors to check in during the plum blossom season. During the week, the number of visitors reaches more than 10,000 per day, and on weekends, this number doubles.

According to Tuoi Tre Online , Moc Chau has about 300 accommodation establishments. All of them are operating at full capacity but still not enough to meet the soaring demand of tourists.
Many houses in Moc Chau with vacant rooms are being encouraged to open their doors to welcome guests, because many tourists have come to Moc Chau but cannot find a room to stay. In addition to the plum gardens with abundant harvests due to the large number of visitors, services such as photography and rental of equipment are also "making a fortune". According to photographers in Moc Chau, during peak season they cannot accept daily photo shoots, most of them take photos by the hour in the garden with a cost of about 500,000 VND/person/hour.
Mr. Bui Van Hiep (Wild Horse) said that in Moc Chau there are about 30 photographers, of which Mr. Hiep's group has 3 people. Every day, Mr. Hiep earns about 10 million VND from taking photos of plum blossoms for tourists.
Besides, services of renting photo props and make-up for customers taking photos with plum blossoms also have good revenue.
Moc Chau tourism is estimated to earn over 1,200 billion VND thanks to the sudden increase in the number of tourists checking in at plum blossoms.
After the plum blossom season, Moc Chau enters the season of peach blossoms, pear blossoms, ban flowers and hawthorn flowers (apple flowers)... promising to continue to be a "hot" spring destination in the North.
