At the ceremony, Mr. Cao Van Chong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that the swimming training program to prevent drowning was simultaneously deployed throughout the province with many activities such as: Organizing free swimming classes, instructing students on swimming and safety skills in the water environment; organizing many classes to instruct and train in drowning rescue; organizing inspections and checks on the implementation of professional regulations to ensure hygiene and safety for facilities and businesses organizing swimming, diving, water entertainment areas, etc.
Mr. Cao Van Chong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Nguyen - Vice Chairman of Tan Uyen City People's Committee presented souvenir flags to units attending the Launching Ceremony.
In addition, the Organizing Committee also organized activities in response to the Launching Ceremony of the National Swimming Training Campaign to prevent and combat drowning in children in Binh Duong province in 2023, such as: Swimming in response (25m distance); drowning rescue competition; 50m Swimming competition and 25m relay for men and women.

In the coming time, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will continue to coordinate with departments, branches, organizations and localities to mobilize the whole population to practice swimming, organize swimming lessons for children and the community; organize swimming competitions and drowning rescue competitions for students in the area; promote socialization, mobilize organizations and individuals to invest in building safe swimming pools in communes, towns and schools. Conduct a review of areas where drowning accidents frequently occur or are at risk of occurring to take timely preventive measures, ensuring the safety of students and children during the summer and rainy and stormy season.
