Hung King's death anniversary in Tan Hiep district

Attending the ceremony were comrade Nguyen Tan Dung - former Politburo member, former Prime Minister; General Le Hong Anh - former Politburo member, former Standing member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Kien Giang province Lam Minh Thanh; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Kien Giang province Nguyen Thanh Nhan.

Also attending the ceremony were former leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Kien Giang province; members of the Standing Committee of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee through different periods; members of the Executive Committee of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee; leaders of departments, branches, sectors, unions, and armed forces of the province; representatives of districts, and a large number of people inside and outside Kien Giang province.

Opening the incense offering ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Kien Giang province Nguyen Thanh Nhan beat the drum to open the ceremony.

Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tan Hiep District Le Truong Ke - the master of the ceremony and the delegation of offerings brought wreaths with the words "Forever grateful to the Hung Kings who built the country" and offerings to the shrine to burn incense and offer gifts to the Hung Kings.

Every year, on the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month, the entire Vietnamese people turn to the Hung King's death anniversary. This is an opportunity to review the heroic tradition of building and defending the country of our nation over more than four thousand years of history, thereby educating the young generation today and tomorrow about the good traditions and morals of our ancestors from ancient times, from there, strive to cultivate virtue, train talent, contribute to the cause of building and protecting the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland, to be worthy of the descendants of the dragon and fairy.

Chairman of Tan Hiep District People's Committee Le Truong Ke emphasized that for generations, in the minds of every Vietnamese person, the Hung Kings are the National Ancestors who built the country - the first state of Vietnam, and are the common ancestors of the Vietnamese people. All Vietnamese people are proud to carry the blood of "Lac - Hong descendants". No matter what they do or where they are, every Vietnamese person turns to their roots and ancestors with a sincere and grateful heart, and also has the profound meaning of reminding, connecting, and strengthening the solidarity, love, and mutual support of the Vietnamese ethnic community, people who share the same origin.

Chairman of Tan Hiep District People's Committee Le Truong Ke said that promoting the tradition of "children of Lac - grandchildren of Hong", Tan Hiep district has made efforts to achieve many achievements in building the political, economic, cultural and social systems, ensuring national defense and security. Despite extremely difficult conditions of natural disasters and epidemics, the district has made efforts to overcome them, bringing the economy to a total production value growth rate in 2024 exceeding 5.43% compared to the resolution; political security, order and social safety have been maintained; people's lives in the district have been constantly improved. The construction of advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas continues to achieve many important results.

In the coming time, the Party Committee, army and people of Tan Hiep promise to unite and agree to build and develop the district to become more prosperous, more sustainable, and worthy of being the first new rural district of Kien Giang province.
