On the morning of October 16, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation held a workshop to collect expert opinions on the draft Law on Geology and Minerals (amended). Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation chaired the conference.

The Law on Geology and Minerals regulates basic geological surveys, geological surveys of minerals; protection of geological resources and unexploited minerals; mineral activities; mineral recovery; mineral processing; finance on geology and minerals and auction of mineral exploitation rights; state management of geology and minerals within the mainland, islands, internal waters, territorial waters, contiguous zones, exclusive economic zones and continental shelf of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Commenting on the Draft Law on Geology and Minerals (amended), delegates discussed and contributed additional comments on a number of contents regarding: classification of managed minerals; overcoming consequences of mineral exploitation; full exploitation of minerals; mineral reserve time; selection of areas for mineral exploration projects; organizations and individuals exploiting minerals; establishing appraisals for adjusting mine designs, regulating the authority and responsibility of mine executives; regulations on organizations and individuals exploiting minerals, etc.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, acknowledged and highly appreciated the enthusiastic and responsible contributions of the delegates. She affirmed that the contributions of the delegates will be an important basis for the Provincial National Assembly Delegation to synthesize and contribute opinions at the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly.
