Ukraine attacks ferry terminal in Crimea . The Ukrainian General Staff said that its forces attacked the Russian ferry terminal at Kerch in the Crimean peninsula (currently controlled by Russia) in the early morning of May 30.
According to the Ukrainian side, the ferry terminal was attacked with a long-range ATACMS missile supplied by the US. As a result of the attack, two ferries were significantly damaged. Meanwhile, on the Russian side, the head of Crimea's transport agency, Nikolay Lukashenko, said that the operation of the Kerch ferry terminal had been restored after the Ukrainian attack.

Several NATO countries oppose the creation of a 100 billion euro fund for Ukraine . Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky said in an interview with the Euractiv news portal that several NATO countries do not support the idea of creating a 100 billion euro fund for long-term support for Ukraine.
“ We understand that there are countries that are very skeptical about the creation of a fund for Ukraine ,” Lipavsky said, commenting on the idea proposed by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
According to Mr. Lipavsky, representatives of a number of NATO countries expressed doubts about the feasibility of creating the fund, as well as about how exactly the money will flow in.
Earlier, Secretary General Stoltenberg officially sent a proposal to the alliance members to mobilize 100 billion euros in a special fund to provide military support to Ukraine over 5 years.

NATO country allows Ukraine to use F-16s to attack Russia . Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen said that Ukraine will be allowed to use F-16 fighters provided by Denmark to attack military targets inside Russian territory.
Asked whether Ukraine would be allowed to use the F-16 fighter jets delivered by Denmark to attack targets on Russian territory, Mr Rasmussen said “the short answer is yes”.
“ This is not a new position, it is part of the transition process. We made it clear from the beginning to the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Danish Parliament that as part of self-defense, the F-16s will be able to attack military targets on Russian territory ,” the Danish Foreign Minister explained.
Russia threatens nuclear deterrence. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that his country could take additional steps in the field of nuclear deterrence if the US deploys medium- and short-range missiles in Europe and Asia.
" We do not rule out additional steps in the field of nuclear deterrence, because our command centers and nuclear forces positions will be within range of US missiles ," Lavrov stressed.
According to Mr. Lavrov, Russia views the supply of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine as planned by Western countries as a "signaling action" by NATO in the nuclear field. "They are trying to tell us that the US and NATO will not stop in Ukraine," Mr. Lavrov said.
