According to information from the Central External Relations Commission on August 4, on the occasion of President To Lam being elected General Secretary of the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, leaders of parties and countries continued to send congratulatory letters and telegrams.

Leading the country to develop, deepening bilateral relations

Congratulatory letter from   Leader of the Cuban Revolution,   General Raul Castro Ruz   and   First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez wrote: "On behalf of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, we would like to send our warm congratulations on the occasion of your election as General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam. We believe that under your wise leadership, the Communist Party of Vietnam will continue to lead the Vietnamese people to promote glorious victories in the struggle for independence and national development, continue to successfully promote the renovation process, and ensure the goal of a rich people, strong country, democracy, and a fair and civilized society as set forth by the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam. We would like to emphasize our desire and commitment to continue deepening the good relations and fraternal sentiments between the two Parties that were built by the historical leaders Fidel Castro Ruz and beloved Ho Chi Minh. * Full text of the congratulatory message from General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea Kim Jong Un reads: "Hearing the news that you were elected General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, I would like to send you my warmest congratulations. I wish that the Communist Party of Vietnam and all the Vietnamese people, under your leadership, will make even greater progress in the cause of building socialism." * The congratulatory message from Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio reads: "I would like to send my warmest congratulations to you on the occasion of your election as General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam. I believe that the Vietnamese people will become stronger and stronger under your excellent leadership.
