If the revenue target of more than VND 4,200 billion is achieved, 2025 will mark the highest revenue in Hai An's history of operations since its establishment in 2009.

The Board of Directors of Hai An Transport and Stevedoring Joint Stock Company (HoSE: HAH) has just approved the 2025 business plan with total revenue of VND 4,243 billion and parent company's after-tax profit of VND 702 billion, up 5% and 8% respectively compared to the results in 2024.

If the above plan is achieved, 2025 will be the year Hai An achieves the highest revenue in its operating history.

The company targets total output this year of more than 1.5 million TEUs, up 13% compared to 2024, including about 545,000 TEUs from port operations, nearly 762,000 TEUs from ship operations and 200,000 TEUs from depot output.

In 2024, Hai An recorded a record net revenue of nearly VND 4,000 billion (up 52.8%) compared to 2023 and the parent company's after-tax profit reached more than VND 650 billion (up 69%).

The growth momentum was driven by the company's commissioning of four new vessels.

At the same time, the increase in output and freight rates, as well as ship rental prices (especially at the end of the year) positively impacts Hai An's revenue and profit.

In addition to approving this year's business plan, Hai An's board of directors approved a loan plan of no more than VND300 billion at HSBC Bank (Vietnam) - Hanoi Branch, with a loan term of 60 months.

Hai An borrowed the above amount of money to buy the ATOUT container ship.

The security for the loan comes from the property rights arising from the ship purchase contract dated January 16, 2025 between Hai An and Thales Navigation SA and the future asset being the Haian Zeta ship (new name of ATOUT ship).

Previously, in early February 2025, Hai An's board of directors passed a resolution to purchase the ATOUT ship for 19.5 million USD and the process of completing the ship handover procedures is ongoing.

Hai An's main business activities are inland, coastal and ocean waterway transport; port cargo handling; road transport and transportation-related support services.

The company's total assets by the end of 2024 were nearly VND7,300 billion, up 36% compared to the beginning of the year. The company has 8 subsidiaries and more than 650 employees.

According to an analysis report by Guotai Junan Vietnam Securities Joint Stock Company, continuing to increase fleet capacity can help Hai An maintain its leading market share in the container shipping industry (about 30%).

As of December 2024, Hai An has rejuvenated and increased the capacity of its fleet to 16 ships.

Of which, this enterprise has three 1,800 TEU ships and one 3,500 TEU ship, helping to increase the total capacity to more than 26,500 TEUs, with an average ship size of about 1,664 TEUs, twice as high as the average of competitors in the same industry.

The larger size gives Hai An several advantages, such as priority in providing transshipment services, and higher charter rates for larger vessels - which operate more efficiently in bad weather conditions, helping to stabilize shipping schedules.

Analysts at Guotai Junan Vietnam said that in the short term, the reduced supply of domestic vessels and the increasing volume of container cargo through seaports will help domestic shipping rates maintain and increase slightly this year.
