Cuba praises the loyal and steadfast brotherhood with Vietnam

According to a VNA correspondent in Havana, on February 19, Politburo member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla expressed satisfaction with the results achieved during his official visit to Vietnam, where he was welcomed with "warm hospitality and a commitment to always support Cuba beyond all expectations."

In an interview with the Latin American news agency Prensa Latina, the head of Cuban diplomacy believes that the joint projects of the two countries are progressing and will soon bring about clear results, for the benefit of the people of both countries. Mr. Parrilla expressed that during his visit to Vietnam from February 18-20, he was warmly welcomed by General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. The Cuban Foreign Minister also held official talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son.

In all his meetings and contacts, the Cuban Foreign Minister always clearly felt the great affection and unchanging solidarity that Vietnam has for the Cuban people. Vietnam is also interested in and ready to promote bilateral projects, especially those aimed at producing rice and other foods, and at the same time support Cuba in ensuring the basic rice needs of its people.

During his visit to Vietnam, the Cuban Foreign Minister also visited the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and paid his respects to the great leader, the beloved father of the Vietnamese people. In an emotional post on social media, he wrote: "President Ho Chi Minh was certain that his people would win and build Vietnam a thousand times more beautiful. Today we are witnesses to that reality."

Prensa Latina quoted Minister Parrilla as emphasizing that President Ho Chi Minh, together with the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro, “showed the way for Vietnam and Cuba to come closer together, bringing advantages and the ability to support each other on the path of building socialism.”

The Cuban Foreign Minister affirmed to the press: “For Vietnam, solidarity, support and cooperation with Cuba is an obligation, a tradition and the historical relationship between the two countries not only brings benefits to the two peoples but is also a model for the progressive movement in the world.”

The Cuban Foreign Minister regularly shares and updates information about his official activities during his visit to Vietnam.
