The movement "Good people - good deeds" has spread strongly, becoming a typical cultural feature of the capital Hanoi, contributing to building the image of a civilized and polite city.
76 years ago (June 11, 1948), President Ho Chi Minh issued the "Call for Patriotic Emulation", officially launching the patriotic emulation movement throughout our Party, people and army.
From President Ho Chi Minh's "Call for Patriotic Emulation" and his teaching "Each good person and good deed is a beautiful flower, our whole nation is a beautiful flower forest", cadres, workers, civil servants, laborers and people of all walks of life across the country, including Hanoi City, have constantly strived to compete to create a spreading force in the patriotic emulation movement in all areas of social life.
Images of traffic police officers helping the elderly cross the street, environmental sanitation workers working tirelessly day and night to clean up the city, or children picking up lost items and returning them to their owners have become familiar images to the people of the capital, symbols of dedication, mutual love, solidarity, and mutual assistance.
These images also contribute to spreading the cultural beauty of the people of the capital, creating beautiful habits and lifestyles of Hanoi, inspiring people, especially the young.
It can be said that, with its contributions, the "Good people - good deeds" movement has also made an important contribution to the successful implementation of goals and tasks in the innovation, integration and development of the Capital.
Recognizing these contributions of exemplary citizens, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh also signed and issued Decision No. 6243/QD-UBND on awarding the title "Good people - good deeds" to 25 individuals.
This is a very meaningful work, aiming to commend, promote and replicate many typical advanced examples with many noble gestures, benevolence, contributions to the community and society; contributing to preserving and cultivating the noble traditional values and cultural beauty of elegant and civilized Hanoians.

The 70-year journey since the liberation of the Capital has affirmed the unceasing efforts of the Party Committee, government, armed forces and people of Hanoi with the aspiration to build a peaceful, beautiful and healthy Capital both physically and spiritually.

In particular, further promoting the movement "Good people - good deeds" is one of the most important tasks to preserve traditional culture, continuing to maintain the position of a livable city of Hanoi Capital.
According to Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh, in 2025, Hanoi's emulation movement "Good people - good deeds" will focus on 5 key contents. The city will promote propaganda about revolutionary traditions, patriotic emulation movements and outstanding achievements of the capital and the country. From there, create positive changes in the awareness and actions of all cadres, civil servants and people, so that the spirit of "Good people - good deeds" spreads widely, becoming a typical cultural feature of the capital.
The city will also continue to innovate and further improve the effectiveness of patriotic emulation movements, especially the "Good people - good deeds" movement; pay attention to promoting emulation movements in the following areas: Economic development, ensuring security and order, education, health care and building a civilized and elegant lifestyle for Hanoians.
With the positive activities in recent times, everyone hopes that the advanced models and examples of "Good people - good deeds" will increase more and more, have a wide influence, contribute to encouraging and motivating cadres, party members and people of Hanoi to rise up strongly, achieve many outstanding achievements, making the flower garden of "Good people - good deeds" of the Capital increasingly develop and prosper.
And not only the 25 individuals who were awarded the title by the city, other people living and working in the capital also need to be aware and responsible in preserving and promoting the cultural beauty of Hanoians, contributing more good people and good deeds to the community.
