At Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC), DOJI Group, and Bao Tin Minh Chau, gold prices were listed at VND94.8 million/tael (buy) and VND96.1 million/tael (sell). Gold prices this afternoon increased by VND500,000/tael for buying and VND300,000/tael for selling compared to the close of yesterday's trading session.
At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the buying price of SJC gold is 95.7 million VND/tael and the selling price is 96.7 million VND/tael. Thus, compared to yesterday's session, the gold price increased by 200,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling directions.

Not only gold bars, the price of 99.99 gold rings and jewelry gold of all kinds also remained at historical peaks. The price of 99.99 plain gold rings was bought by SJC Company at 94.7 million VND/tael, sold at 96 million VND/tael, stable compared to the morning.
PNJ Company sells gold rings for up to 96.5 million VND; Bao Tin Minh Chau for up to 96.8 million VND/tael, much higher than the price of SJC gold bars. Both gold bars and gold rings are being maintained by businesses at the highest level in history.

According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4am today, Vietnam time, was 2,995.81 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 0.26% compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (25,768 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 93 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 3.1 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

Gold prices have rallied, now just below the $3,000 an ounce mark that was breached last week, as the focus shifts to trade tariffs and the U.S. Federal Reserve policy meeting.
Spot gold rose 0.4% to $2,994.79 an ounce at 11:26 a.m. ET (1526 GMT), after hitting a record high of $3,004.86 on Friday.
The Federal Reserve will issue new economic forecasts this week, providing the clearest evidence yet that U.S. central bankers are weighing the potential impact of President Donald Trump’s policies that have overshadowed a previously solid economic outlook.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Sunday that there is no guarantee that there will not be a recession in the United States, although a correction is possible. "I expect gold to have a correction... Right now, the market is in a 'wait and see' mode ahead of the Fed decision," said David Meger, director of metals trading at High Ridge Futures.
Markets expect the US central bank to keep interest rates unchanged on Wednesday, with the next cut coming in June. FEDWATCH
Non-yielding gold bullion is seen as a hedge against risk and tends to thrive in low interest rate environments.
Data showed U.S. retail sales rebounded less than expected in February, signaling moderate economic growth even as import tariffs and federal layoffs dampened sentiment.
“Gold will continue to benefit if economic data continues to weaken and the global tariff war escalates,” analysts at Heraeus Metals said in a note.
Meanwhile, Trump said he plans to speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday and discuss ending the war in Ukraine.
Spot silver fell 0.4% to $33.66 an ounce and palladium rose 0.2% to $967.44, while platinum rose 0.6% to $999.
