“Memories of Truong Son…” brings together “golden voices” of wartime

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater is performing an art program with the theme "Memories of Truong Son..." with the desire to relive with the audience the heroic moments of the nation.

The program will bring to the audience songs that have been with us through the years such as "Cau ho ben Hien Luong", "Xa khoi", "Love song", "Hello Lam Hong girl", "Bai ca khong quen", "Love you", "Truong Son Dong, Truong Son Tay"...

The participation of veteran artists who have gone through the storms of bombs and bullets on the battlefield to serve soldiers such as People's Artist Thu Hien, People's Artist Thanh Hoa, People's Artist Quang Tho, People's Artist Trung Duc..., is a highlight of "Memories of Truong Son...".

The most anticipated performance is the reunion of the former battlefield duet, People's Artist Trung Duc - People's Artist Thu Hien, in the song "Truong Son Dong, Truong Son Tay". Expressing his joy at being on stage again with his compatible co-star, People's Artist Trung Duc shared: "This is a song that is associated with many memories of me and People's Artist Thu Hien. Our voices always blend together, lift each other up, and are full of emotion, so we are loved by many generations of Vietnamese people."

In the program, People's Artist Thu Hien will use songs to recount memories of the years in Truong Son, sing to encourage the fighting spirit of the soldiers and civilians on the Central frontline, and even help soothe the physical pain of wounded and sick soldiers.

People's Artist Thanh Hoa - who traveled along the Truong Son mountain range to sing for the army during the resistance war against the US to save the country, will also tell many stories about the glorious period through immortal songs.

The story of a miner, who was part of the mining region’s shock troupe performing for soldiers and officers fighting in the battlefields of the South, Laos and Cambodia, and then became a great voice of mainstream music and Vietnamese music, will be told by People’s Artist Quang Tho himself in the program “Memories of Truong Son…”.

In addition to veteran artists, the program has the participation of many generations of excellent singers in the Vietnamese music industry, such as: People's Artist Quoc Hung, People's Artist Pham Phuong Thao, People's Artist Hong Hanh, Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan; singers Viet Danh, Thai Thuy Linh, Bao Yen (Sao Mai), Tien Hung, Trung Sy, Phuc Dai...

“Memories of Truong Son…” also features the groups Thoi Gian, Phuong Nam, Thang Tu, Huyen Trung band and contemporary dance troupe…
