This morning, December 9, information from Con Co Border Guard Station said that the unit had just received 8 crew members and fishing boat numbered DNa 90403 TS in distress in the waters of Quang Tri province, rescued and towed to shore by the Coast Guard Region 1 Command.

Previously, on November 29, fishing boat DNa 90403 TS departed from Da Nang fishing port. While fishing in an area about 35 nautical miles northeast of Con Co island, the main engine gearbox broke down and could not be repaired, so the captain sent a support signal.
At around 8:30 a.m. on December 8, CSB 8004 ship of Squadron 11, Coast Guard Region 1 Command received orders from superiors to go to the above area for rescue. After nearly 2 hours, CSB 8004 ship approached ship DNa 90403 TS in windy conditions of level 6 and level 7. At this time, there were 8 crew members on board, with Mr. Tran Trung Mau (51 years old), residing in Binh Trieu commune, Thang Binh district, Quang Nam province, as captain.

Immediately afterwards, the force on board CSB 8004 supported the fishermen with food, provisions, and medicine.
At around 8:30 a.m. today, December 9, fishing boat DNa 90403 TS and 8 fishermen were towed to Con Co island safely, the health of the crew members is stable.
