Regarding infrastructure, Vo Chi Cong road connecting Hoi An city with Da Nang city and Chu Lai airport (Nui Thanh) was formed, expressways and National Highway 1 connected with the coastal route.

Furthermore, the Cu Lao Cham island area (Tan Hiep commune, Hoi An city) has helped the province reap many achievements in the tourism sector.

Notably, in 2022, revenue from industrial parks reached nearly 7.746 billion USD; export value 238.41 million USD; import value nearly 3.929 billion USD; budget contribution nearly 31,143 billion VND.

In Chu Lai Open Economic Zone alone, by the end of 2022, there will be 11 industrial parks and 167 projects licensed for investment with a total registered capital of more than VND 68,800 billion; 121 projects will be put into operation, creating jobs for about 32,000 workers.

Dung Quat Economic Zone is the spearhead

Recently, Quang Ngai province held a meeting between Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien and leaders of functional departments and branches of the province and coastal districts, towns and cities to listen to and give opinions on the proposal to build a Resolution of the Provincial People's Council on continuing to promote the development of the marine economy of Quang Ngai province in the period of 2021-2025.

Quang Ngai has many potentials and advantages to develop the marine economy with a coastline of about 130km, 6 estuaries, 4 coastal districts, towns and cities and 1 island district.

A representative of the provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment informed that the development of the marine economy aims to synchronize industry, services, tourism, aquaculture, exploitation, seafood processing, seaport infrastructure, and logistics.

Along with that, planning, investing, developing high-quality urban, service, and coastal and island tourism areas. Sustainable development of Ly Son island district, creating momentum for economic development of the province. The export turnover of Quang Ngai's marine economic sectors accounts for more than 70% of the total export turnover of the whole area. The province's plan estimates that by 2025, the economy of coastal localities and Ly Son island will contribute over 90% of the province's GRDP. Importantly, the marine economy will develop sustainably according to international standards, with the proportion of industry and services in the total annual production value reaching about 69 - 70%...

To do that, Quang Ngai will orient the planning, investment, and development of high-quality coastal and island urban, service, and tourism areas.

In Dung Quat Economic Zone, industrial parks, coastal industrial clusters, coastal urban areas and islands are planned and built in a sustainable direction, adapting to climate change and rising sea levels, with centralized water treatment systems, meeting environmental standards and regulations.

At the same time, build infrastructure for tourist areas according to planning, develop high-class restaurants, resorts and entertainment areas in coastal and island areas, support investors to complete and put into operation licensed service and tourism projects.

The locality will also develop a variety of sea and island tourism products, effectively implementing a tourism development cooperation program with provinces, cities and branded travel businesses at home and abroad.
