Xom Nhang, Kim Thuong commune, Tan Son district has 168 households of Muong ethnic people living. In 2017, due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain and floods, Nhang hill had horizontal cracks, posing a potential risk to the safety of 66 households living in this area, especially when storm No. 3 made landfall, causing heavy rain and strong winds.

To ensure the safety of people's lives and property, the People's Committee of Kim Thuong commune established a team to respond to storms, prevent natural disasters, and search and rescue in the high-risk landslide area of Nhang hamlet.

Comrade Phung Trong Thang - Vice Chairman of Kim Thuong Commune People's Committee said: "This morning, September 7, we went to each household in the dangerous area to mobilize everyone to move to a safe place to take shelter. People will move to the Forest Protection Management Station of Xuan Son National Park and surrounding households for temporary shelter".
The propaganda team used loudspeakers to call on households to leave the danger zone.
Currently, in Kim Thuong commune, rain and wind continue to get stronger, 66 households in Nhang hamlet have moved to safety.
