At the online conference to deploy tasks and Party work in 2025 this morning (December 30), the State Audit (SA) said that, synthesizing the audit results of financial reports issued as of December 15, this agency recommended financial handling of VND 22,817 billion, of which it recommended increasing state budget revenue by VND 2,637 billion, reducing expenditure by VND 9,341 billion; other recommendations were VND 10,839 billion.

As for the summary of the implementation results of audit recommendations in 2022 as of December 15, the number of recommendations for financial handling and other recommendations implemented was VND 40,975 billion/VND 49,940 billion, reaching a rate of 82%.

Regarding recommendations to amend, supplement or cancel legal documents, guiding documents, operating mechanisms and policies, 58/198 documents have been cancelled, amended or supplemented by the Government, ministries, central and local agencies according to recommendations of the State Audit Office.

However, regarding recommendations to review collective and individual responsibilities, only 58/107 audit reports recommending to review collective and individual responsibilities were implemented by the units.

Regarding the activities of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity, in 2024, through auditing activities, the State Audit Office transferred 2 files, including: 1 case with signs of violations in the management and use of invoices of Cao Nguyen BP Import Export Trading Service Co., Ltd. to the Investigation Police Agency - Binh Phuoc Provincial Police; 1 case with signs of illegal mineral exploitation of Hoang Thanh Thuy One Member Co., Ltd. to the Investigation Police Agency - Dong Nai Provincial Police for investigation and clarification.

At the same time, the State Audit Office provided 308 audit reports and related documents to agencies of the National Assembly, the Central Inspection Committee, and investigation agencies to serve the investigation, inspection, and supervision work...

In 2025, the State Audit Office sets out 10 tasks and 5 key groups of solutions. In particular, focusing on organizing the development and implementation of a quality and effective audit plan for 2025;

Regularly urge, monitor and inspect the implementation of audit conclusions and recommendations, especially clarify and thoroughly handle outstanding conclusions and recommendations...;

Continue to publicly disclose audit results and list of organizations and individuals that do not implement or do not fully implement audit conclusions and recommendations. Provide audit reports to competent authorities in a timely manner to serve the work of inspection, supervision, investigation;

Conduct a summary; propose tasks and solutions for innovation, streamline the State Audit's organizational structure, and operate effectively and efficiently...

Acknowledging and appreciating the results of the State Audit in 2024. Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai requested the State Audit to focus on auditing the correctness, appropriateness, completeness and timeliness of the issuance of documents guiding laws; the organization of law implementation, especially the contents related to specific mechanisms, decentralization, and delegation of powers in the allocation and use of resources and implementation of key projects and works; the implementation of waste prevention; and the implementation of the policy of streamlining the apparatus.

To carry out these tasks, at the conference, State Auditor General Ngo Van Tuan reminded that next year, auditing work must pay attention to the motto of "safety - prestige"; to have safety and prestige, there must be quality.

We must focus on evaluating the effectiveness of management and use of public finance and public assets of ministries, branches and localities; focus on assessing where there is loss and waste; where public opinion - people - voters see waste, then the audit must focus on that to audit and confirm - General Auditor Ngo Van Tuan emphasized.

The State Audit recommended reviewing responsibilities, but most units still 'ignore' them. The State Audit requested reviewing collective and individual responsibilities, but only 44/107 audit reports were implemented by the units.
