The People's Committee of Quang Nam province has just sent a report on projects that are behind schedule, ineffective, and wasteful to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee. Statistics show that more than 200 projects using budget and non-budget funds are behind schedule.

Specifically, for projects and works using state budget capital, there are 59 projects that are not in use, not used yet or ineffectively. This list includes headquarters and schools belonging to public assets.
The province requests the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to lead the Department of Finance to guide relevant agencies, units and localities to handle according to their authority or report to competent authorities to handle according to regulations on management and use of public assets.
55 projects are behind schedule, the province proposed that the Party Committee Standing Committee assign the Party Committees of investors and local leaders to review the investment goals and efficiency of invested items.
Determine technical stopping point, request completion policy, and finalize project completion on time.
In case the project investment efficiency has not been promoted, review urgent items, extend the project implementation period, and supplement the capital plan to continue investing in the remaining items.

For projects using non-budgetary capital, specifically investment projects to build houses, residential areas, and urban areas outside economic zones and industrial parks, 88 projects are more than 24 months behind schedule compared to the schedule in the initial investment policy approval document.
Of which, 5 projects are behind schedule for more than 10 years, 21 projects are behind schedule for 5-10 years, and 62 projects are behind schedule for 24 months to 5 years.
For this group of projects, it is recommended that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee lead the Provincial People's Committee to urgently complete and put them into use.
For production, business projects and other projects outside economic zones and industrial zones, there are 24 projects that are behind schedule by more than 24 months compared to the progress in the initial investment policy approval document. For this group of projects, 13/24 projects have been and are undergoing land inspection.
The province requests the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to direct the Provincial People's Committee to assign the Provincial Inspectorate and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to review and evaluate the results of implementing inspection conclusions and documents directing the implementation of inspection conclusions to advise the Provincial People's Committee to consider and resolve according to regulations.
