Mai Son Industrial Park in the first months of the year

Mai Son Industrial Park is always bustling in the first months of 2025, with 3 factory construction projects being implemented. Along with attracting investment, the provincial authorities and sectors are making efforts to remove difficulties and facilitate the projects being implemented in Mai Son Industrial Park in order to soon put the factories into operation, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.

Perspective of Mavin Mai Son Animal Feed and Agricultural Products Processing Factory Complex project.

Present at the construction site of BHL Son La Modified Starch Processing Factory of BHL Food Ingredients Processing Joint Stock Company, the construction atmosphere is urgent. This is one of 3 projects granted Investment Policy Decision and approved investor in 2024 in Mai Son Industrial Park, with a total investment of over 244.8 billion VND, designed capacity of 90,000 tons of products/year, equivalent to 300 tons/day, producing modified starch from cassava starch.

To ensure progress, since February 2025, the Company has mobilized more than 100 workers and construction equipment and machinery for various construction items. Up to now, the factory frame has been basically completed, the electricity and water systems have been installed, and technical items are being constructed. The contractor has focused on ensuring labor safety, regularly checking and instructing workers to strictly comply with the use of labor protection during construction.

Located right next to the BHL Modified Starch Processing Factory, the Instant Cereal and Dried Fruit Factory Project of VFI Investment Trading Production Joint Stock Company also started construction in mid-March 2025. The factory has a total investment of 39 billion VND, processing and preserving vegetables and fruits and producing ready-made dishes and foods, with a capacity of 720 tons of Granula cereal/year, 300 tons of cereal powder/year, 2,800 tons of dried fruit/year, 300 tons of paste/year. The factory will create jobs for about 100 workers when it comes into operation. According to the representative of the construction unit, there are always over 50 workers and dozens of technical equipment and machinery actively constructing the items on the construction site.

BHL Son La modified starch processing factory is gradually being completed.

In addition to the two projects that are being accelerated, currently, at Mai Son Industrial Park, the Mavin Mai Son Animal Feed and Agricultural Products Processing Complex project, with a total investment of 350 billion VND, is also preparing a project feasibility study report, expected to start construction in August 2025, complete the project, and hand it over for use before January 2028. The goal is to produce animal feed, process agricultural products (corn, cassava, fruits, etc.); capacity of 200,000 tons of animal feed/year, 300,000 tons of processing/year.

Mai Son Industrial Park has a scale of 150 hectares, in phase I, the scale is 63.7 hectares; phase II, the scale is 86.3 hectares. From 2021-2024, 4 projects have been approved for investment policy and investors, with a total capital of about 818 billion VND. Phase I of the industrial park has 8 effective projects, with a total capital of about 1,272 billion VND, the occupancy rate is 60%. Revenue of enterprises operating in production and business in Mai Son Industrial Park reached 3,153 billion VND, export value reached over 77 million USD, paying the state budget 25.57 billion VND/year; average revenue reached 45.7 billion VND/1 hectare of industrial land; creating regular jobs for about 200 workers, with an average income of over 8.4 million VND/person/month.

Construction of instant cereal and dried fruit factory project.

Accelerating the construction progress of key projects in Mai Son Industrial Park is of great significance, as a project to welcome the 16th Son La Provincial Party Congress. When put into operation, the projects will actively contribute to increasing the value of industrial production, the value of goods exported in the province, creating more jobs and income for local workers. In addition, it will contribute to exploiting the potential of the fruit and vegetable raw material area in the province; solving the output for agricultural products, creating conditions for households, businesses, and cooperatives to connect the production chain, consume sustainable agricultural products; linking production, processing, consumption and export.
