Prosecution of female hui owner who beat debtor's family to demand money

On October 4, the Investigation Police Agency of Hoa Vang Police, Da Nang City announced that it had just initiated a case, prosecuting the accused Le Thi Thanh Thuan (27 years old), Nguyen Hoang Sang (27 years old, both residing in Hoa Khanh Nam, Lien Chieu, Da Nang) and Pham Trung Hai (25 years old, residing in Hoa Phat ward, Cam Le district, Da Nang) to investigate the act of "Disturbing public order".

According to initial investigation results, Le Thi Thanh Thuan organized the hui game with money contributed daily, weekly or monthly.

Ms. NTTH (22 years old, residing in Hoa Nhon commune, Hoa Vang district) participated in a hui and owed 99 million VND. Thuan came to her house many times to collect the debt but failed to do so.

The police agency served the decision to prosecute Nguyen Hoang Sang.

On September 8, Ms. H. contacted Thuan to meet at her house on Truong Son Street (Da Nang City) to settle the debt. Thuan invited her husband Nguyen Hoang Sang and Pham Trung Hai, Nguyen Duc Huy, Long Nhat (unknown background) to come to Ms. H.'s house.

Here, during the debt settlement process, Thuan's group had a conflict and beat Ms. H's father, mother, and sister-in-law to the ground.

Hearing people shouting, Thuan's group stopped, got in the car and left the scene.

During the investigation, the Investigation Police Agency of Cam Le District Police issued an order to temporarily detain Nguyen Hoang Sang and Pham Trung Hai, and ordered Le Thi Thanh Thuan not to leave her place of residence (Pham Trung Hai had fled her place of residence).

After consolidating the case file, Hoa Vang Police decided to prosecute the case, prosecute Thuan, Sang, Hai and continue to verify related people for investigation and handling.
