PV: Dear Knight Grand Cross, the country is entering a new era. As a Knight Grand Cross of the Church, a Catholic and a citizen of the country, what inspiration does this bring to you?
Knight of the Grand Cross LE DUC THINH: I think that the Party's policy, headed by General Secretary To Lam, on the new era, the era of national growth, is a new policy and orientation, with strategic vision and great political significance in the country's current development. Vietnam can realize this policy because the new era is developed on the basis of advanced and modern achievements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, developing strongly and synchronously in all fields and is based on the most important pillar of national solidarity, taking the people as the root - the pride and national pride of the Vietnamese people - including me, a Grand Knight of the Church, a Catholic and a citizen of the country. In the new era, all Vietnamese people will be developed comprehensively, have a prosperous, free, happy and civilized life. Choosing a new era means strongly arousing national spirit, patriotism, national pride, and the desire to develop the country. The new era will closely and strongly combine national strength with the strength of the times to successfully achieve the goals of Vietnam becoming a developed, high-income country by 2045.

People trust and agree is to fully promote the strength of the great national unity bloc to bring the country firmly on the path of development”.
To enter the new era, what do you think about the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in consolidating and promoting the great national unity bloc?
- Promoting the great national unity bloc is necessary in every era, not a new viewpoint but a foundation, consistent to successfully achieve the country's goals. Successfully build a Vietnam with rich people, strong country, democracy, equality, civilization with a very clear roadmap that by the middle of the 21st century our country will become a developed country with high income, people are prosperous and happy, successfully realizing the wish of President Ho Chi Minh and the aspiration of the entire nation, bringing the country to stand shoulder to shoulder with the world powers.
Over the past 45 years, implementing the 1980 Joint Letter of the Vietnam Bishops' Council (VBC) and under the common roof of the Vietnam Fatherland Front - the common roof of the great national unity bloc, Catholics have had more and more opportunities to prove themselves as an important and inseparable part of the Vietnamese people, and have been making many contributions to the process of building and developing the country. Since the first Congress of the Vietnam Bishops' Conference and on the basis of the 1980 General Letter, the documents of the later congresses of the Vietnam Bishops' Conference have implemented that direction through specific activities, so that Catholics can continue to accompany the nation, such as the Third Congress of the Vietnam Bishops' Conference issued the Communiqué "In the task of building and defending the Fatherland, let us strive to contribute more with the efforts of each person, specifically in the current circumstances of the country. We strive to work actively and save as much as possible in all areas, to make the Fatherland of Vietnam increasingly prosperous. We are both Catholics and citizens of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, these two qualities cannot contradict each other, if we live a true religion and have sincere patriotism".
Entering the new era, it is necessary to promote the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in "gathering all social classes", the role of "bridging" between the Party, the State and the people so that the people trust and share responsibility in implementing important issues of the country. People trust and agree is to fully promote the strength of the great national unity bloc to bring the country firmly on the path of development.
So, in your opinion, to continue building the great national unity bloc as an endogenous strength to firmly lead the country on the path of development, what solutions do we need?
- We need to continue to identify the important position of the great national unity bloc, considering the great national unity bloc as an important driving force and resource and a decisive factor in ensuring the sustainable victory of the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. Unity in perception and unity in action to achieve the set goals. Consolidating and building the great national unity bloc does not stop at perception, but must be concretized in every step and specific situation of the country.
In particular, it is necessary to accurately assess and forecast the situation. Currently, the international, regional and domestic contexts are changing rapidly, complicatedly and unpredictably; there are both opportunities and challenges, advantages and disadvantages for the country's innovation cause. It is necessary to accurately assess and forecast developments in the international and domestic situation, changes in social structure when the entire political system is determined to streamline the apparatus and operate effectively and efficiently. In which, it is important to listen to and evaluate the thoughts and aspirations of all classes of people to achieve the goal of "putting people at the center of all decisions".
The fundamental and practical solution for people to trust and protect the political system, protect dedicated and capable cadres, and unite to build the country in the new era is to concretize the Party's viewpoints, guidelines and policies in legal regulations and implement them synchronously and effectively at the local level so that people can benefit. Build a clean and strong political system and cadres, operate effectively and efficiently, be close to the people, understand the people, respect the people, and work for the people. Along with that, step up the fight against corruption, waste, bureaucracy and negativity.
The Government, ministries, branches and localities need to thoroughly resolve pressing social issues, the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people in the spirit of trust and respect for the people. This is also a fundamental solution to promote the strength, ears and eyes of the people in the fight against, and vigilance against the plots of forces that do not want the country to develop and society to rise, taking advantage of limitations and weaknesses; taking advantage of beliefs and religions to divide and destroy the great national unity bloc, contributing to ensuring national security and territorial integrity of the Fatherland.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front continues to call for and promote the contributions of Vietnamese people at home and abroad, forming a national force with the spirit of Uncle Ho: "Whoever has talent, virtue, strength, and the heart to serve the Fatherland and the people, we will unite with them" to build a prosperous and sustainably developed Vietnam.
