Dai Ngai Bridge is located on National Highway 60, 15.1 km long, spanning the Hau River, helping to shorten the distance from Soc Trang, Bac Lieu, Ca Mau to Ho Chi Minh City by 80 km. Construction began on the morning of October 15.

This is a special road traffic project, with an investment capital of 8,000 billion VND from the budget, which started construction on the morning of October 15, in Tieu Can district, Tra Vinh province.

The project is invested by Project Management Board 85 of the Ministry of Transport, with a total length of more than 15 km, starting at the intersection of National Highway 54 (Hung Hoa Commune, Tieu Can District, Tra Vinh Province); ending at the intersection of National Highway Nam Song Hau (Long Duc Commune, Long Phu District, Soc Trang Province).

The project includes 2 main bridges that have been fully invested with 4 lanes. Of which, Dai Ngai 1 bridge over Dinh An channel is more than 2.5 km long and 19 m wide. The main cable-stayed bridge has 2 towers 110 m high (from the bridge deck), main span 450 m, the second largest in Vietnam, after Can Tho bridge 550 m, clear width 300 m. Dai Ngai 2 bridge is 862 m long, balanced cantilever over Tran De channel, bridge deck 17.5 m wide.

The approach roads on both sides of the bridge are invested in phase 1, 12 m wide, 2 lanes, design speed 80 km/h, later will be completed with 4 lanes.

The project is expected to be completed in 2026. This is the third cable-stayed bridge across the Hau River, after Can Tho and Vam Cong bridges. When completed, the bridge, along with Rach Mieu, Ham Luong and Co Chien bridges, will help to keep National Highway 60 open.

The project will break the monopoly of National Highway 1, creating traffic connections between coastal provinces in the Mekong Delta; shortening the distance from Ca Mau, Bac Lieu, Soc Trang to Ho Chi Minh City by about 80 km, reducing 1.5-2 hours compared to taking a ferry across the Hau River... The project also plays an important role in ensuring national defense and security of the southern coastal region.
